This is one of those restaurants you tell all your friends about. I brought my parents here for lunch and they loved it. The environment is unmatched with breath-taking artwork adorning every wall and servers that treat you better than family. If you can find your wits after appreciating where you’ve chose to eat, you should eat. My favorite is the crawfish etouffe, but my parents enjoyed the shrimp and grits, and the oyster po’boy. First: Another non-franchised restaurant. Very good for Troy. Support our local restaurants!Food: Swamp Hog was very close to delicious. It was excellent. Great Cajun influence with a hearty piece of meat! Boudin Balls were extremely good.However, we sampled the Crawfish cheese dip. There is potential with this, but there was really nothing Cajun about it. There was crawfish in the dip, but was not woven into the dish as a whole. The gumbo was really good. Their drinks are also freshly made instead of using mixes so it’s well worth it. The service was great and the owner made it a point to come speak to me and make sure everything was perfect.
