McAlister's Deli

There was a new employee training on the cash register and she was so kind/patient with all of our requests. Anytime she needed help the experienced cashier helped her. Great teamwork, food was perfect and restaurant was clean!

My grandson and I had lunch there today. We ordered nachos. I ordered chili nachos He ordered pork barbecue nachos. The pork was ice cold not heated and the chili was too strong flavor way too salty enough to ruin my nachos.
Also when I get a salad there or take out the meat on the salad is always cold.
It's never like that from another restaurants.

The best restaurant in Troy Alabama I love all the foods but Micheal Pennington and Amya Ford where rude employees but the food is delicious and you get alot of free food and the carrot is a blessing and the salads and subs and soups and I always love the General Manager special they have the best food ever..

The food was trash. I asked for a sample of the potato soup but was told they couldn’t and once I purchased a cup of the potato soup I found out why they don’t give samples 😂 the soup was watery with chunks of onions. I won’t be back if the other food items are as bland as the potato soup 😁

Incredible food, service and atmosphere! Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Service was quick, food was delicious and the staff were very kind and efficient. Absolute 10/10 place! Especially that little red head fellow was so interesting to talk to.

My ultimate nachos did not have melted cheese. It was just shredded cheese.

This was the first time I had been to Mc Alister's Deli.
This one is in a two called Troy Alabama. I was visiting family in this area and I saw t mobile Tuesday gave away a free meal. So I stopped in to try it.
First off, the place was clean and looked like a nice restaurant. Staff was professional and polite. Did a very good job.

I ordered the club with a tomato cucumber waited. And got a sweet tea
Didn't have a long wait. Yo, get my order.

The teas were good for a sweet tea, one of the best I had but not the best. But good.
The salad was good for it just being onion tomato and cucumbers.
The club had turkey bacon and cheese, it was very good.

I do recommend trying McAllister's at least once . I will be back when I am near one.

For food service and cleanliness of the restaurant

We came to Troy, AL to look at Real Estate for our new home. How surprised were we upon the discovery of McAllister's Deli. We frequented their Tampa, FL location for many years and loved it. The menu, sandwiches, salads and their Monster Baked Potatoes were missed. The location was rather new, but the staff was full of old-town charm. Food was excellent and we devoured our plates. Looks like we won't be far from one of our favorite eateries for long...

Walked in on April 1st at approximately 11:50 am. Deli wasn’t even half full. After looking over the menu we went to order and was told it would be a wait of 20 minutes (just to order) because the cook was a little behind. We were not even offered to get a drink and sit down. Absolutely the most terrible customer service ever.

We were there on Friday and had the best experience and staff was very friendly.

How do things change so drastically in 4 days?

I am a regular here, so I want to make it clear the only reason they don’t have 5 ⭐️ from me, is only bc of the wait time. They NEVER have enough help. The food is always excellent. Freshly made, and I rarely have any issues with missing an item. If you want different and healthier options, this is the place to go. Today I waited a long 15-20 mins, and I watched all 3 employees. Front was completely by himself. There were only two people in the back, one I believe to be the manager, never came out to assist the front, and she moves as slow as molasses ALL the time!! They desperately need good help!

Puah took care of us for lunch

January 5, 2025. Ordered 3 sandwiches, 2 fruit cups, 2 mac and cheese, 1 bowl of soup. Man who greeted me at pickup window was nice. Woman who bagged up and gave me food only gave me 1 Mac and cheese when there was supposed to be 2.

Takes forever to get your food here. This is my second time here and the first time was slow but decided to give it a second chance. Not all that busy but employees lack motivation to get orders out. Won’t be back!

The wait time and service is AWFUL. Not doing this again! 45 minute wait for food. 10 minute wait to even order and nobody was in there.
