These workers were absolutely unprofessional to my Husband and I. Our waiter barely checked on us. I ordered lunch fajitas and everyone knows they come on a hot skillet. Our waiter just shoved it down to me on the table. There was a Spanish family seating next to us and they were having personal discussions with them, but could barely do their job to check on us too which we were the only other people seated in the very back away from everyone else. I’ve gone to many Mexicans restaurants being that I’m half Mexican myself and I have never been treated so poorly as I have from ALL the Rodeo Restaurants. The only proper Rodeo restaurant is in Ozark. The ones in Dothan and here in Troy have attitude filled and rude waiters!

Probably the best chain Mexican restaurant around.

I’m not gonna be all flowery and extra with my descriptions as I usually am. I ordered fajitas enchiladas. I thought I asked for chicken but I got beef. I was like cool I can eat beef . . . But let me tell you! I could NOT eat that beef! What wasn’t fatty was chewy and overcooked. Our waiter never came back. We didn’t get a refill on drinks. My husband ordered the pollo ranchero. The description of the item did not match what he got. Our food also was not very hot so it chilled quickly. When we told the waiter he said that’s how the meat comes and ran off. Our other waiter didn’t understand what we were talking about. We get to the cashier and she said that it was like that every time someone ordered it! Ugh! I would not recommend ordering any of that here.

Hotels were all sold out at Dothan due to the world-famous Peanut Festival. So we stayed at Troy instead. Rodeo was within walking distance from our hotel and I am glad we tried it out. You can't beat cold beer and decent Mexican food after a long day of driving. We were seated shortly and offered a basket of chip & salsa on the house. Refilled later without problems. I orderred Carnitas Rojas. The tender pork chunk covered with thick flavorful salsa sauce was delightful. According to the menu, the salsa sauce was a combination of 3 chili sauce. Just delightful. I ordered hubby the Steak Jalisco. He gave me a hate look after the first bite. So he ate half of my Carnitas. The steak wasn't bad though. But the pork was just too good. The bill was shockingly reasonable. Too bad it is too far from us. See you again Rodeo. We will be back.

Our trip to Troy Alabama was great, but what made it especially wonderful was this restaurant! The food was fantastic, the staff was great, and it was very affordable. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who is visiting the Troy area.

It was average mexican food. My Chicken Verde was leaning toward sour tasting. The waiter was a nice guy. Flan was not good at all. I didn't like the table was not wiped when we were seated, but maybe they just overlooked.

The Restaurant is well kept..The staff moves with urgency..they have so far the best customer service I have experienced..The Queso was the highlight of the meal..We ordered the chimichanga and birria tacos with fries..They stuff the tacos with tender shredded meat..I put the queso and beef with tomatoes on my fries..I still can not understand why these Mexican places do not season their food..I did not do the cilantro and onions so I may have took some flavor away..the shells were soft not crunchy..their sauces were spicy..the birria dipping sauce was also a little bland but I ate it lol..like I mentioned before I don't get the full flavor because I don't eat every sauce..the chimichanga meat had flavor and also tender..Im just not a fan of the beans..Im just so use to eating homemade tacos/nachos..so the authentic Mexican food hits different with my tastes buds..I recommend this restaurant!
