I live close to Umami. I’ve been several times and been taken care of with no issues. I came in around 7:30 on a Sunday wanting ramen and sat at the bar. I was seated for 20 minutes with no acknowledgment from the bartender. Server handed me a menu. Was never served anything.

We walked in at 8:42 pm. The front door says dinner service till 9 pm. The older lady at the host stand was taking a togo order as we waited for a table. She hung up the phone and told us we couldn’t eat there.
Don’t come here for a respectable time.

I ordered the spicy pork belly ramen. It was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and fulfilling. My waiter Dwi suggested that I put the spice on the side. It was an excellent suggestion, I was able to increase the spice to my satisfaction without compromising the richness of the broth. His customer service is unmatched. I will definitely return and bring my entire family to enjoy Unami. Unami thanks for your customer service and the delicious meal. It’s definitely worth every penny.
Some items are a little expensive but the good is great!

Food was hot and tasty, appetizers came out timely and 3 Noodles Bowls 🥣 all well seasoned with many toppings to help fill us up, but couldn't sit and enjoy food because of many flies and Nats and we had to ask for the air to be turned on.
It was our first time at Umami. The server was very nice and helpful.
My wife wasn’t very hungry, and she not an adventurous eater, so she chose the ginger salad and the Pork Belly Taco. The server explained in advance that the taco would be very small, but my wife ordered it anyway. The taco was small and it was served in a cute small wooden holder. My wife said both were excellent and that the next time she just might order three or four of little tacos.
The special was the prices some of the sushi rolls on the regular menu were reduced to $11. So I paid $11 the Blazer Roll sushi instead of $17. It was composed of Avocado, cream cheese, crab, meat, etc. It was very good. I also had the Baked Crab Avocado. it was a half of an avocado baked in the skin and topped with some kind of crab meat mix with very thin cut strings of red and green Asian cabbage sprinkled over every thing. All excellent!
Everything was very nice and we will be back.
Vegetarian options: There is not a vegetarian or vegan menu but the contacts have all of the menu items are clearly described.
Parking: The restaurant is in the Trussville entertainment district and we parked in one of the parking slots. if those straight slots are already taken there is a huge free parking lot nearby.
Kid-friendliness: if you have kids, we don’t, you can sit outside and there is a kids playing area nearby. You can watch them as you eat.
Wheelchair accessibility: The Into our Trussville entertainment district is totally wheelchair assessable.
The food tasted absolutely amazing. We ordered the pork belly ramen, and the pork belly taco's. The broth alone is worth going back for. It has such a good flavor with a perfect amount of spice. This is the fastest service I have ever had and great service.
