It was our first time at Umami. The server was very nice and helpful.
My wife wasn’t very hungry, and she not an adventurous eater, so she chose the ginger salad and the Pork Belly Taco. The server explained in advance that the taco would be very small, but my wife ordered it anyway. The taco was small and it was served in a cute small wooden holder. My wife said both were excellent and that the next time she just might order three or four of little tacos.
The special was the prices some of the sushi rolls on the regular menu were reduced to $11. So I paid $11 the Blazer Roll sushi instead of $17. It was composed of Avocado, cream cheese, crab, meat, etc. It was very good. I also had the Baked Crab Avocado. it was a half of an avocado baked in the skin and topped with some kind of crab meat mix with very thin cut strings of red and green Asian cabbage sprinkled over every thing. All excellent!
Everything was very nice and we will be back.
Vegetarian options: There is not a vegetarian or vegan menu but the contacts have all of the menu items are clearly described.
Parking: The restaurant is in the Trussville entertainment district and we parked in one of the parking slots. if those straight slots are already taken there is a huge free parking lot nearby.
Kid-friendliness: if you have kids, we don’t, you can sit outside and there is a kids playing area nearby. You can watch them as you eat.
Wheelchair accessibility: The Into our Trussville entertainment district is totally wheelchair assessable.
The food tasted absolutely amazing. We ordered the pork belly ramen, and the pork belly taco's. The broth alone is worth going back for. It has such a good flavor with a perfect amount of spice. This is the fastest service I have ever had and great service.

FINALLY a good sushi place is Trussville! What a fun experience. Love the outdoor dining area. We ordered three rolls and the best was the surf and turf (without cream cheese). YUMMY! We'll be definitely coming back next time we're in town! SO glad I found this sushi place. Next time I might try the ramen.

I had an amazing meal at Umami Trussville! The Chicken Gyoza was perfectly crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside, a great way to start the meal. The Spicy Pork Belly Ramen was outstanding – rich, flavorful broth with tender pork belly that melted in my mouth, and just the right amount of spice to kick it up a notch. The portion sizes were generous, and the service was top-notch. Definitely recommend if you're craving delicious ramen and gyoza!

A great location for families and kids-friendly. We loved having a table seat outside. From start to end, the staff was really friendly. We had a table booked online, came to check in, and asked for a seat outside because the weather was so good. The waiter was nice, took our order, and brought out the food quickly and smoothly. The food was very tasty, delicious, and well-flavored. Thank you.
Everybody was so nice, the owner, the bartender & the employees. The atmosphere & restaurant was so peaceful & nice. Food & drinks 10/10. I will definitely be back.

Besides the edamame being cold and not all the way cooked the food was really good. However the large African American man that was waiting on our table would walk up to us and not say a word and not look at us he was just staring at his little device he used to enter our order into. It's like he just wanted us to tell him what we want or need and not make any attempt to ask us if we needed anything or even if we were ready to order it was awkward and strange and I didn't appreciate it we spent over $100 dollars on a meal for the two of us we expect a little better customer service when we're spending 8 dollars on a bowl of cold salted beans along with the rest of our meal and cocktails.

Ordered through Door Dash two Trussville Rolls and they tasted more like old burned chicken oil that anything. One of the rolls had no cream cheese added. They need to seriously change out their frying oil more often because all you tasted was oil.
Not only was our server fun and knowledgeable, our food and drinks were amazing! I got the jalapeño mojito and it was perfectly made, notes of mint, lime, and just the right amount of spice. The food was delicious too, we got basil duck tacos and bulgogi tacos. Every bite was heavenly ?❤️ will be back!

Had the vegan tofu ramen noodles and they were not what is expected for $16. The flavor was bland, broccoli and onions were too charred tasted burnt, and felt like I was eating a bowl of oil. The spring rolls tasted store bought and frozen and were priced over $5 for 2. Needless to say, went to a fast food restaurant afterwards to get some satisfaction for the evening.
Vegetarian options: Same as above, but they have brussel sprouts and edamame in the menu as well as Impossible options.
