Absolutely awful experience. Slowest service I’ve ever seen. Kitchen staff looked clueless. They were averaging like 8+ minutes per order. Initially ordered two gyros and a chicken shawarma - simple order. It took them 20 minutes of waiting to tell us they were out of chicken (at 2 in the afternoon!), and it’s been an additional 15-20 minutes since then waiting for food.

🥙 The shawarma was great. I really like their food.
⏰ But their hours are very unstable, which is frustrating. Many times I visited, they were closed even though their sign or info said they were open. Google wasn’t updated either. Sometimes even when the “Now Open” sign was on, they were actually closed.
🤷I once ordered pickup, paid online, and couldn’t cancel. I had to go to the store just to find out they were closed, then email back and forth with the ordering platform to fix it, which was very annoying! It’s a pity because the food is good, but these problems have happened too many times.

Great food! Saw it on tik tok and so glad we tried it. The workers were super friendly- only took off stars because there were only 2 people working on a Saturday night and it was packed. Would highly recommend for a delicious lunch or dinner!
What a wonderful gem this place is! Since travelling to London, England, I have been unable to find a shop as good as this that offers fantastic Shawarma, Kebab, falafel and other Mediterranean goodies! The staff are over-the-top friendly - if you aren't sure what to try, their recommendations are solid gold. We were even given a tea while we waited as a simple customer service bonus. We decided to go for the Trio Loaded Fries and we were certainly not disappointed! A lot of food vs. price - something that is amiss with other places in this present economy. If you are in the area, do yourself a favour, stop by, and give Ameer's a try! 10/10

Ameer’s Mediterranean Cafe is hands down one of the best hidden gems in Tuscaloosa! I tried the Kabob Wrap and the Chicken Shawarma — both were absolutely delicious. The meat was juicy and well-seasoned, and the wraps were packed with fresh ingredients and authentic Mediterranean flavor.
If you’re a foodie or just love exploring bold, satisfying flavors, this place is a must. The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the food tastes homemade in the best way. I highly recommend it and will definitely be going back to enjoy more soon!

i‘ve been here twice over the last week and both times the food has been amazing. i got the chicken shawarma and the lamb gyro and both were amazing. 10/10. got it to-go both times since its a short walking distance from my house and only down side is is that the inside is kinda small so i‘d rather eat at home lol
