“So the restaurant is new so there’s some hiccups that can be worked out. Like technically there’s no full bar bc they are still working on it . But u can still order soju sake and I think beer . My server Faith was the best & madeMy experience so much more pleasurable . I would come back just for her!!Pan Chan is a large salad bar but a lot of Korean staples needed to be fermented longer . Dumplings were wild cold and it’s a shame bc they were very crispy and flavor was good but sitting at salad bar with no warmer .Meat was on point I got BBQ not hot pot soooo good . If. you’re into making lettuce wraps aka ssambap it’s kinda a challenge bc they give u the bottom half of lettuce so not able to wrap . This place I’m sure will be worth 5 stars soon and again service definitely boosted the rating!”

The reason for the 4 stars for service is it took almost an hour to get our food after we ordered and the appetizer came with our food. If the server had communicated a reason for the delay, it would not have been so bad.Overall, the experience was great and I enjoyed the shrimp and chorizo fettuccine.”

“German food! In Tuscaloosa? I dragged my daughter here after touring UofA. They had recently opened after moving. I asked about spaetzle as I thought I saw it on Google menus. It wasn't a lunch option, but our server said she'd ask. Great lunch. The owner came over with some home made pizza that was delightful (and free), and I got my spaetzle! Great food, great service, and an awesome spot. I will definitely come back when I'm in town.”
“My favorite restaurant in town! I eat here as often as I can. Every single item I’ve tried from the menu turns out to be my new favorite! Best burgers in town, the fried catfish is fantastic! This last trip I tried the Fish & Grits…it was unbelievable! One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The staff and owners are friendly, atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, prices are reasonable. Urban Bar & Kitchen can’t be beat!”

“This was a great choice for our dinner in Tuscaloosa. We love oysters so we enjoyed the oysters on the half shell. There was a HUGE oyster on the plate! Largest oyster I've ever seen! The jalapeno hushpuppies were very good...not hot as the name might imply. The stuffed portabella mushrooms were really good but I did have to scrape off the sauce because it was too spicy for me. I didn't even remember the description saying anything about a spicy sauce. I loved the garden salad with their garlic balsamic vinegar dressing. My husband got the steak with shrimp and the steak was cooked properly. Waitstaff was friendly and efficient. I thought the prices were pretty reasonable.”

The staff there remember the regulars and their orders, and recently when we thought we might change it up and try something else…but weren’t sure if we would like it…they made us a small sample so we could try before we buy. And it worked because we got it the next time, haha. It gets really busy at times, so check the parking lot, but highly recommend!”
“I have been to Heritage House so many times as a student in Tuscaloosa. All the locations have a different vibe, but i especially love the Towncenter location because of its cozy, warm, eclectic atmosphere. The service is always great and I usually never have to wait long for my coffee. I would say that the food is one of the best parts because they make their pastries from scratch and all of them are delicious! Their kitchen food is wonderful as well! I would recommend the breakfast burrito (put the jalapeño ranch on it) with turkey sausage and an iced caramel macchiato”

After having one of the worst experiences ever at Dillard's Chophouse the last time we were in town for parents weekend, we decided to go on a recommendation from a friend and give Forte a try. I wish we had gotten the recommendation sooner. From the minute we sat down until we paid the bill the experience was excellent. While the food was outstanding, the service was even better. Our server Daniel was extremely attentive and not once did we have to ask for anything. He had quite a few tables but made us feel as if we were his only one. Every drink and dish we ordered were outstanding and we've decided that from now on, anytime we are in town we will be sure to eat here (we've already made our reservation for when we return in September). if you want the best Tuscaloosa has to offer this is your place. Amd if the manager of Dillard's happens to read this you may want to make a reservation and ask for Daniel....I think you could learn something.”
“Hokkaido is one of the most popular Japanese restaurants in Tuscaloosa, so if you are looking to go here at a normal time ,expect a crowd. The food here is good, but a little on the saltier side. Most of the time, the food is fresh and seasoned well. The last visit I had, my salad was not so fresh, but the rest of the food was great. I am a sucker for crab Rangoon, but I feel like I get more of the fried batter than the filling. They still taste great, and the chili dip it comes with is fantastic. I usually stick with the chicken Hibachi. I have tried the steak and the filet, but if you get either, you will probably want to dip them in yum yum sauce unless the recipe has changed. Personally, if I have to use a sauce on a steak, i don't like it. I'm not saying the steaks aren't good. I'm just saying the chicken is better. My wife usually gets sushi rolls when we go, and they are delicious. The dragon roll is my personal favorite. All in all, if you go at an odd time or don't mind the wait, this is a great Japanese restaurant.”

“My first Waffle House experience and it was fantastic! For starters, not only was the staff very friendly for an early Saturday morning, but they were all very polite as well. We sat down and ordered quickly, and our server was on top of everything. Our food came out fairly quickly and everything tasted great. I also paid attention to how friendly the staff was with the cool while they submitted orders and waited for their orders to go out. There was no shouting, they were polite, they weren't in each other's way and they were working quickly and efficiently. The cashier was sweet and friendly, and everyone thanked us as we left. I'm sure this restaurant gets very busy during the year, as they are on The Strip in Tuscaloosa, but I'm sure they're just as quick, efficient and awesome then as they were on an early Saturday morning. I will definitely eat here again next time I'm in Tuscaloosa, and hopefully all other Waffle Houses deliver the same experience as this one did. Thank you to everyone for such a great experience! ?”

It was kind of a pain to get to due to the construction and it not being just off the interstate for easy off and on but it was worth it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was they don't allow for substitutions on any menu items. You have to get it exactly how it is listed on the menu. The service was great even at the bar where we had to sit because it was very crowded. Petty issue was they took the game off the tv we were watching to put on the SAME game that was already on 5 TVs. Otherwise will def eat here again next time I'm in town! GEAUX TIGERS! ;)”

“First time customer. Got the 20 inch pepperoni and the 12 inch Mama Mia. In the photo you can get an idea of the difference between a 12 inch and a 20 inch pizza by the boxes. Sorry I was too busy eating to post pictures of the actual picture.The 20 inch pizza was all you could hope for in a New York style crust. It folded well and had a good chew. IYKYK!! Even better it passed the late night or breakfast cold pizza test by not getting soggy and the crust still retaining its integrity. Also reheated well(375 for 8 min got everything warm without over crisping the crust). The 12 was fine but wasn't as tasty as I was expecting with the garlic confit. But that could just be me.Yes the price seems expensive but just from the 20 inch we got 5 meals, Dinner and lunch for 2 plus breakfast for 1, out of it. Making the cost about 8 dollars a meal. Which is less than you pay for a hamburger combo at your favorite fast food restaurant.I didn't put anything for the atmosphere because I was there at 330 in the afternoon, on a Thursday, and I was the only one there. But the staff were nice and tried to explain to me the size of the 20 inch pizza. I wouldn't say they failed as much as I would say I failed to truly understand.Best Pizza I have eaten in Tuscaloosa. Next time I am going to try the Sicilian style crust! Only recommendation I would have is that they display the pie pans so customers would get a true understanding of the size of the pizzas.?Parking: Seem to be a good number of spaces. Just be careful of the grade to the road on the entrance and exit.”

“We were in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for a basketball tournament and needed to get something to eat, so we visited this restaurant cause it was still open and it was late. The restaurant was very spacious and clean. The waiter came right over and took our order. I think i ordered some kind of roast beef, and it was pretty good. Whatever my girlfriend ordered, she said it was too salty and couldn't eat it. I told her to send it back, but she said it was getting late and I could take it home and eat it. The alcoholic drinks were okay. Overall, it was a decent place, and the food was good.”

“My friend treated me to breakfast today. I ordered a biscuit and gravy again. My friend ordered a Hardee's breakfast platter with bacon. It comes with grits, eggs, your choice of sausage, bacon, or ham. The grits were soupy and so was the gravy. The eggs are artificial but ok. The bacon was crispy. When the gravy is soupy, it's just not the same. I ordered a Frisco breakfast sandwich and it is nothing like the picture. There is hardly any meat or cheese on it. It's not much more than a grilled cheese sandwich, if that.”

I really enjoyed the fried egg you can now put on any biscuit they offer. I enjoy making them at home but now that I know I can just go to Hardee's, it's game over for the at home version now. Service was great and the employees were very attentive to their customers. The bathroom was clean and smelled good. Eating area was nice and tidy. Food could use some finese: ie acai bowl needs improved presentation and I was NOT expecting, upon ordering a hot Vietnamese cofee, for her to pull out a pitcher of premade to steam up...part of what makes Vietnamese coffee's character is watching the phin kit filter slowly drip onto the condensed milk in a glass. Also if some plastic use could be phased out (spoons needing to be individually wrapped, asking if "for here" orders need tops) that would be a plus. 7.5/10 would easily hang out or meet-up here over food/drinks if in town again. Nice neighborhood feel and is on the right track.”

“I just recently moved to Tuscaloosa from Atlanta and it’s very different. To be honest I really hate Tuscaloosa and it’s been hard looking for a place that feels safe for a POC to go out and enjoy. My friend recommended Icon and I decided to bite the bullet and try it out. First, the employees are so nice! Super friendly and helpful. “Located atthe hotel Indigo by the riverfront . We came here to dine In . This hotel btw looks really cool too. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the rooftop seating with fire pit .Although a little too cold for me, we decided to dine inside. Blankets are available if you want to remain outside and enjoy the view. Inside there is a bar and very limited seating. The menu is small, the drink menu is not. There is a sign at the bar indicating that all drinks contain 1 1/4 oz of alcohol and if you want more or less you need to let the bar tender know. I ordered the chicken strips and fries, husband ordered the crawfish pasta and our friend ordered the flat ironedsteak and potatoes. Both my husband and I thought that the portions were on the small side. The steak was ordered medium rare and that is exactly how it arrived. Pasta was delicious, fries perfect and chicken done well. We cleaned our plates. Gin and tonic ($10) was weak . Our fault we didn’t see the sign until later.”

She took our appetizer order and drinks ... She brought rolls .. She came and took our order and left ..We received our fried pickles and drinks ..We sat there and waited for our food which seem like forever ..She can and refilled our drinks and said she just turned our order in ...She should have turned in our order after we received our pickles when she took our dinner order ... “First time customer. Got the 20 inch pepperoni and the 12 inch Mama Mia. In the photo you can get an idea of the difference between a 12 inch and a 20 inch pizza by the boxes. Sorry I was too busy eating to post pictures of the actual picture.The 20 inch pizza was all you could hope for in a New York style crust. It folded well and had a good chew. IYKYK!! Even better it passed the late night or breakfast cold pizza test by not getting soggy and the crust still retaining its integrity. Also reheated well(375 for 8 min got everything warm without over crisping the crust). The 12 was fine but wasn't as tasty as I was expecting with the garlic confit. But that could just be me.Yes the price seems expensive but just from the 20 inch we got 5 meals, Dinner and lunch for 2 plus breakfast for 1, out of it. Making the cost about 8 dollars a meal. Which is less than you pay for a hamburger combo at your favorite fast food restaurant.I didn't put anything for the atmosphere because I was there at 330 in the afternoon, on a Thursday, and I was the only one there. But the staff were nice and tried to explain to me the size of the 20 inch pizza. I wouldn't say they failed as much as I would say I failed to truly understand.Best Pizza I have eaten in Tuscaloosa. Next time I am going to try the Sicilian style crust! Only recommendation I would have is that they display the pie pans so customers would get a true understanding of the size of the pizzas.?Parking: Seem to be a good number of spaces. “We were in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for a basketball tournament and needed to get something to eat, so we visited this restaurant cause it was still open and it was late. The restaurant was very spacious and clean. The waiter came right over and took our order. I think i ordered some kind of roast beef, and it was pretty good. Whatever my girlfriend ordered, she said it was too salty and couldn't eat it. I told her to send it back, but she said it was getting late and I could take it home and eat it. The alcoholic drinks were okay. Overall, it was a decent place, and the food was good.”
