“My husband and I visited Tuscaloosa today. My hubby is a huge BAMA fan. We absolutely love going to dive bars! Looked it up and found Jackie’s. We could NOT have had a greater experience! The owners (Joe and Rhonda) are so nice, the bar tender (Madeline)was on top of every request! (Never had an empty drink - which is extremely important to me). Jessie, another bar tender who was not working, but we were lucky to meet her as well, who also seems to be part of the family, is so sweet too! The rest of patrons were so nice and inclusive to the fun activities…it was Trivia night!!! So fun! Would totally come again! Great drinks, vibe and company! Can’t wait to visit again!!!“
“when I walked into this place, my expectations were not very high. there were not many people there, except for the bar which may be a little skeptical at first, but we were hungry. we sat down and had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan who took care of us and made all of the recommendations including the uptown chicken which is an absolute must. in fact, I liked it so much that I asked for sauce on the side for my cheeseburger and fries. I know the reviews here average about a four, but I have to give it a five just based on the simplicity of the menu, the service, and the two items that I ordered. I also had a margarita which was on point. however I did make a change to the recipe and asked him not to put pineapple in it. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the place and I can't wait to go back for that uptown chicken. Oh, and by the way, by the time we left, the restaurant was packed.“
“Was working in Tuscaloosa and a restaurant with a two hour wait recommended the River. We had the steak filet and the seared tuna. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding and the whole experience was just classy and comfortable. Brussel sprouts were on special for an appetizer, they were the best we’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“It's a great place for locals and college crowd to mix. Much more relaxed then your typical bar near campus. Arcade and pinball games are great. Smoking areas out back and in the front. Booths are comfortable for a group. Bartenders are fast, and friendly.“
“We had a great time gathering outside in cute seating area for small retirement party. Bartender was good, beer was cold, people were nice! We got excellent Mexican food from a couple doors down, so ended up staying at Copper Top the whole time. Will be back!“

“I came her for the first time a few weeks ago and have been back three times since .I am not big on alcoholic beverages but I do love a good beer now and then especially in summer .They are extremely friendly here and clean .The bartenders are always lovely and I really enjoy stopping by for a beer and chilling with my dog on the patio .The beer is extremely tasty , I lean more towards sweeter taste like the ones that have strawberry or apricot.I have visited my fair share of breweries in the south and I feel this one is review worthy .If you are in T Town check it out .Also extra points for being dog friendly“
