“Visited for the first time today and it was a great trip! I purchased the strawberry peach blast and the key lime pop tart. Both were excellent! My toddler ate some of the oatmeal cream pie and it was delicious (mom had to taste test!). The lady working was super friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be back!“

“Had the veggy eggy on wheat and outside of a small peice of foil in it was delicious! Generous portion and super fresh avocado. Place is super cozy and decor is worn chic. My table had crumbs on it and the foil in my food stopped me from giving a five.“

“Stopped in for a quick coffee meeting and got a latte. It has a good vibe with plenty of seating. The service was fast and came complete with some latte art. The latte was a bit strong for my tastes, but a solid entry nonetheless. Parking is available, but it on the surrounding streets. I imagine it can get difficult to park at certain times. Go check it out.“

“I don’t always get my morning coffee at Heritage House, but when I do, it’s a great start to my day. The staff there remember the regulars and their orders, and recently when we thought we might change it up and try something else…but weren’t sure if we would like it…they made us a small sample so we could try before we buy. And it worked because we got it the next time, haha. It gets really busy at times, so check the parking lot, but highly recommend!“

“Enjoyed this small southern city urban coffee shop. Has a hipster yuppy vibe. Staff exudes coolness. Atmosphere is spacious in a repurposed building with a neat variety of seating options (counter, couch, 2/4 tops amd big table). Food could use some finese: ie acai bowl needs improved presentation and I was NOT expecting, upon ordering a hot Vietnamese cofee, for her to pull out a pitcher of premade to steam up...part of what makes Vietnamese coffee's character is watching the phin kit filter slowly drip onto the condensed milk in a glass. Also if some plastic use could be phased out (spoons needing to be individually wrapped, asking if "for here" orders need tops) that would be a plus. 7.5/10 would easily hang out or meet-up here over food/drinks if in town again. Nice neighborhood feel and is on the right track.“

“I have been to Heritage House so many times as a student in Tuscaloosa. All the locations have a different vibe, but i especially love the Towncenter location because of its cozy, warm, eclectic atmosphere. The service is always great and I usually never have to wait long for my coffee. I would say that the food is one of the best parts because they make their pastries from scratch and all of them are delicious! Their kitchen food is wonderful as well! I would recommend the breakfast burrito (put the jalapeño ranch on it) with turkey sausage and an iced caramel macchiato“

“I’m not a fan of doughnuts, but my family is. We’ve been displaced due to the tornadoes on March 25, so we are staying near Babe’s. I finally went in this morning after 2 weeks of eyeing it. I cannot recommend Babe’s enough; we absolutely loved every single flavor we got. Babe’s is SO MUCH BETTER than that other popular doughnut chain in Tuscaloosa. If you don’t like doughnuts, you’ll like Babe’s. If you do like doughnuts, you’ll like Babe’s.“

“Fruit Lovely is my go to! Everything is always fresh and made how I requested, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. My favorites are the You Do You Bowl, because I’m picky, and I get the Basic Bowl for my little (no base, just fruit!). But anytime I get them to recommend something different, I have not been disappointed. Family friendly, and I love that the Bible verse behind their concept/name is literally on their wall. Highly recommend.“

PJ's Coffee Coffee Shops • $

“Had been wanting to check this place out, and finally was able to without the crowds during winter break. They did not have full-sized beignets available but the “beignet bites” were tasty. The drinks and our other food were too. Comfortable seating was available and the service was friendly. Requires more effort to get to than some of my usual spots in town, but I will definitely come back during another slow time!“

Starbucks Coffee Shops • $
807 Paul W Bryant Dr, Tuscaloosa

“Very impressed by this location. Came here because the off-campus Starbucks is being renovated. Service was friendly and fast, order accurate, great atmosphere…no complaints! I wish they would join other licensed stores that have started accepting mobile orders — if they did this I would come here much more often. Unfortunately on campus only the student center location accepts mobile orders and that is only through the ua dining app. Even without that, I will be back.“

“The only thing i ever knew about Krispy Kreme donuts was from the grocery store. Until this trip. We were away a red light when my friend got all excited about THE HOT LIGHT IS ON! I had no idea what she was talking about until i saw the HOT light lit on the sign. It means the donuts are HOT (EXTREMELY). We went thru the drive thru and was told that they had just dropped them in the cooker and would be ready in 12 mins. And if the wait would have been 30 mins we would have been glad to wait. Those were the best, hottest and freshest donuts ever!“

Starbucks Coffee Shops • $
1901 13th Ave E, Tuscaloosa

“This is my favorite Starbucks of all the ones in Tuscaloosa. Sure the line sometimes gets long, but that's because they usually don't have many people working. This doesn't bother me at all. They are pretty fast with getting peoples orders and giving drinks even if they do only have one person working. The staff is extremely kind and always talk to me when I go. It makes my day brighter. Plus they always make my go to drink order perfectly!!! The other Starbucks around town usually don't do that. I recommend this Starbucks over all the others in town to anyone I see. I cannot rave about this location more. They are amazing!!!“
