“Was working in Tuscaloosa and a restaurant with a two hour wait recommended the River. We had the steak filet and the seared tuna. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding and the whole experience was just classy and comfortable. Brussel sprouts were on special for an appetizer, they were the best we’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I must say, this is truly one of the best places in Tuscaloosa, my fiancee loves the urban cowboy sandwich, we walked in and she immediately knew what she wanted. I however didn’t, I asked the gentleman at the counter and gave him 3 options of what I think sounds good on the menu and asked him which of those are the best? He said he personally likes the buffalo wrap he went into detail on how it’s not too spicy but very flavorful, AND WHEN I TELL YOU I ALMOST CRIED WHEN I BIT INTO THE FIRST BITE! The only con I have is there are some “chewy” parts in the meat I didn’t like as much but the wrap itself and the service alone was A1, you don’t expect much out of places here in Tuscaloosa/Northport due to it being majority college kids who has no customer service BUT HERE was amazing. “This was my husband & I first time visiting here. We was in Tuscaloosa,AL for the East Carolina VS Alabama 1st game of the season. Of course, AL won! The price is very reasonable, customer service & food is good. We love visiting local restaurants.“

“I had a really good experience at Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe. The food was delicious—especially the pitas and gyros. We tried both the beef and the lamb, and both were very flavorful and well-cooked.
One small recommendation: if you’re planning to order an extra side, you might want to skip the potatos. They already include a small portion of chips/snack with the meal, so ordering potates is a bit redundant.
The place itself is quite spacious—larger than you might expect—and very clean. The location is also convenient, and they have outdoor seating, which is great if you want to enjoy your meal outside, especially during the summer.
In terms of price, it’s a bit on the higher side. We spent around $35 for two people, which for students can feel slightly expensive—but the quality of the food makes it worth trying at least once.

The server Nick was a delight ,taking amazing care of my partner and I. While I didn't get the hosts name ,his energy and million dollar smile had us feeling welcome from the moment we walked in (I wish you luck on your towel twirling journey XD)“

“I never write reviews, but the service and server was horrible. To forgetting things we asked for when taking our orders, to getting rude when asking for the things we asked for when we ordered our food. Brought our checks out , and then said she had to add gratuity, even tho one of my friends had already paid her ticket. She voided it out, and gave her the new ticket. Charged me gratuity on the 2 To-Go orders I had on my ticket. Thank goodness the manger split the Check up. The server was literally talking over my friend that was with us that was explaining the problems we were experiencing, and the manager finally told her to leave the conversation. We love the Gardendale location, we always go there with my daughter's whole ball team, and never once were we charged gratuity, and the service and food have always been excellent. The manager said, it was from corporate is the reason for mandatory gratuity for people 6 and over. Totally not true!!! Would NOT recommend the Tuscaloosa Mugshots!!!“
