“Was working in Tuscaloosa and a restaurant with a two hour wait recommended the River. We had the steak filet and the seared tuna. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding and the whole experience was just classy and comfortable. Brussel sprouts were on special for an appetizer, they were the best we’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

It's counter service, but they bring it to your table and pick up your plate when you're finished. The place is very clean, nice, and bustling with folks but not too loud. “I came into town for the Florida vs Alabama baseball series, and this place was highly recommended by locals and lived up to the expectations.

I had a western omelette with sausage, a small side of grits, and two stacks of pancakes, and everything was excellent.

The omelette was cooked just right and full of flavor, the grits were warm and smooth, and the pancakes were soft and fresh.

The food came out hot, the service was great, and the overall experience was on point. Definitely a solid spot for breakfast. I will be back.“

“I had a really good experience at Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe. The food was delicious—especially the pitas and gyros. We tried both the beef and the lamb, and both were very flavorful and well-cooked.
One small recommendation: if you’re planning to order an extra side, you might want to skip the potatos. They already include a small portion of chips/snack with the meal, so ordering potates is a bit redundant.
The place itself is quite spacious—larger than you might expect—and very clean. The location is also convenient, and they have outdoor seating, which is great if you want to enjoy your meal outside, especially during the summer.
In terms of price, it’s a bit on the higher side. We spent around $35 for two people, which for students can feel slightly expensive—but the quality of the food makes it worth trying at least once.

“I never write reviews, but the service and server was horrible. To forgetting things we asked for when taking our orders, to getting rude when asking for the things we asked for when we ordered our food. Brought our checks out , and then said she had to add gratuity, even tho one of my friends had already paid her ticket. She voided it out, and gave her the new ticket. Charged me gratuity on the 2 To-Go orders I had on my ticket. Thank goodness the manger split the Check up. The server was literally talking over my friend that was with us that was explaining the problems we were experiencing, and the manager finally told her to leave the conversation. We love the Gardendale location, we always go there with my daughter's whole ball team, and never once were we charged gratuity, and the service and food have always been excellent. The manager said, it was from corporate is the reason for mandatory gratuity for people 6 and over. Totally not true!!! Would NOT recommend the Tuscaloosa Mugshots!!!“

“We drove out of the way to find this place after a playoff baseball game in cottondale.

It was soooo worth it. Prices are very reasonable and portions were surprisingly large!!

We ate fill the fish tacos, shrimp quesadillas and guacamole tacos. What a refreshing change to find Tex mex that tastes fresh!!!

“Enjoyed Lakeside Dining several times at UA. Large selection of food and a deserts area. The stir fry area is great depending on the cook, and plenty of other options to go along with. Sweet area has lots of cookies and cupcakes to fatten you or your child up lol“

“My friends and I came in 30 minutes before close (we just left the fair and were starving) and our waitress (Gabby) was absolutely amazing! She was the sweetest and was so cheerful even though we came in so last minute. The food was pretty solid. My fried steak was so well seasoned and I tore up that potato soup! Gabby truly was so amazing and kind, and legit the only person who actually acknowledged us. The bartender did dismiss us, and there was no host to be seen, so God bless she came up when she did.“

“I love Buffalo Phil's! It's the first place I bring out of town friends. The wings are delicious, but pretty small. I always get the parmesan garlic, but mix up whether I get the tots or fries. The sides are a large portion. I really enjoy the patio area when the weather is nice. I have been able to find a single seat at the bar or grab a table for two on games days very fortunately, but it can be tough.“
