“I came to Tuscaloosa to see my doctor which I traveled 3.5 hrs to get to ! My daughter had been telling me how we should go to this restaurant when we get into town and I’m glad we did !!!! I wish I knew the cashier name who took my order but what a impact ?? she was such a SWEEEEETHEART !! My baby loved her as you can see !! I highly recommend Fujiyama ❤️❤️ Amazing customer service and delicious food !!! I will be back very soon !!!!“

“Luxury dining with welcoming folks in a warm environment. The staff worked like they enjoyed it and were there to make our night special. And it was. Blackened swordfish met every expectation. “It was Sunday lunch and the line to order at the counter was out the door (when this happens please don’t stand with door open). The line however moved quickly as two people at registers were taking orders. The restaurant including eating area was clean. We seated ourselves with order number displayed on table. The food took about 10 minutes to arrive. Our group of four all liked our food. I had a half El Cubanano sandwich and half local mix salad. My daughter had a full local mix add chicken. My son had a Quesadilla and better half had the Pimiento BLT. (I liked the Pimento BLT better than Cubano but it wasn’t bad either). Spent about $15 per person.“

“Best breakfast in Tuscaloosa, hands down. Love the food, the atmosphere, and the history. I got country ham, red eye gravy, scrambled eggs, grits, and homemade biscuits. The food was great. My server was fantastic. There is a lot of history with the atmosphere here. I may not be one of the regulars, but as much as I can when I am in town, I will be a regular.“

“This restaurant was highly recommended by people I talked to around the city. The reason for the 4 stars for service is it took almost an hour to get our food after we ordered and the appetizer came with our food. If the server had communicated a reason for the delay, it would not have been so bad.Overall, the experience was great and I enjoyed the shrimp and chorizo fettuccine.“

“Was working in Tuscaloosa and a restaurant with a two hour wait recommended the River. We had the steak filet and the seared tuna. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding and the whole experience was just classy and comfortable. Brussel sprouts were on special for an appetizer, they were the best we’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I almost gave it 4 stars but thought about it and decided that yes for the area it is the best BBQ in the area. I’ve reviewed bbq from about every state in the SE, Memphis ribs and Texas brisket is still the best by a long shot .The ribs here are the go to—my rack was a little tough (by no means fall off the bone), but juicy and tasty. The smoked sausages were decent —hillshire almost, so probably won’t get again, but still good. The best item by a long shot is the banana pudding—GET it. Dry rub seasoning is also legit. Overall a great bbq place“

“Hokkaido is one of the most popular Japanese restaurants in Tuscaloosa, so if you are looking to go here at a normal time ,expect a crowd. The food here is good, but a little on the saltier side. Most of the time, the food is fresh and seasoned well. The last visit I had, my salad was not so fresh, but the rest of the food was great. I am a sucker for crab Rangoon, but I feel like I get more of the fried batter than the filling. They still taste great, and the chili dip it comes with is fantastic. I usually stick with the chicken Hibachi. I have tried the steak and the filet, but if you get either, you will probably want to dip them in yum yum sauce unless the recipe has changed. Personally, if I have to use a sauce on a steak, i don't like it. I'm not saying the steaks aren't good. I'm just saying the chicken is better. My wife usually gets sushi rolls when we go, and they are delicious. The dragon roll is my personal favorite. All in all, if you go at an odd time or don't mind the wait, this is a great Japanese restaurant.“

“If you want good sushi then this is the place, not only was the sushi fantastic so was the miso soup! Great portion for the price and a wonderful healthy option. Only thing better than the food was the service and friendliness of the staff.“
“I came her for the first time a few weeks ago and have been back three times since .I am not big on alcoholic beverages but I do love a good beer now and then especially in summer .They are extremely friendly here and clean .The bartenders are always lovely and I really enjoy stopping by for a beer and chilling with my dog on the patio .The beer is extremely tasty , I lean more towards sweeter taste like the ones that have strawberry or apricot.I have visited my fair share of breweries in the south and I feel this one is review worthy .If you are in T Town check it out .Also extra points for being dog friendly“

“Just here for the veggies most days. Got the catfish today on a whim and from now on I’m dropping a veggie for this. My kids got shrimp, burgers and a grilled pimento cheese. Everything great. Nice and hot. 10-15 minutes for food. Nice waiter.We sat outside on the back porch. Nice breeze today. Great experience.Owner came by and checked on us. They’re opening for dinner very soon. We’re regulars on Saturday Brunch and they’ve starting serving MIMOSAS!!!! and drinks.“

“First lemme say..... I'm just sitting here waiting on my food but I just wanted to take the time FIRST to say that WILLIE REALLY LOVES HIS JOB! And it shows!!!!! Waffle House you REALLY need to hang on to this guy because it won't be long until he will go on to better things. I was very impressed with how he approached our table and smiled and took our order etc just a wonderful guy and you don't get that type of customer service anywhere nowadays. This is someone that I would love to employ in my own business if I have room for him. He needs an upper management job with multiple skill sets because he has talent and the willingness to be a great host. Don't lose him..... PROMOTE HIM WHEN APPRECIATE. AND IF YOU NOTICED I AM IN THE TOP 10% OF RESTAURANT REVIEWS ON GOOGLE. I DON'T GIVE FIVE STAR RATINGS UNLESS IT IS WARRANTED. WILLIE HETS FIVE STARS HANDS DOWN!“
