“I think this is one of the most underrated restaurants in Tuscaloosa. Taco Mama is more well known, but I actually always recommend Jalapeños Downtown over the food at Taco Mama - hot take for some. I recommend the Dirty Rice Bowl with steak, absolutely delicious.“

“We had an Outstanding meal at Cancun! I can’t believe we waited 3 years to try this place. If you loved La Bamba then you will love this place. It’s some of the best authentic Mexican hands down. Raymundo has done a fantastic job with this restaurant and we will be coming back everytime we are in town!“

“Had a great experience at Jalapeños Mexican Grill. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived, and the food was honestly impressive.
I highly recommend the pork belly tacos — full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The Combo Fajitas were also amazing, with steak, chicken, and shrimp all served together and incredibly delicious. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared.
It’s definitely a great place to visit if you’re in Tuscaloosa: excellent food, friendly service, and very affordable prices. Really good value for the quality you get. Highly recommended!“

“As I was looking for an authentic Mexican place, I came upon Loco Lupes. I wanted queso and on the DoorDash website, this was the only place other than Socal, Chiptotle, and Central Mesa. Although those places are great, I do not like their queso very much. I have never heard of Loco Lupes but decided to give it a go. Thank goodness I did because that was one of the best quesos that I have ever had. I also got a cheese quesadilla and salsa. Both were great and I will for sure order this again. 10/10!“

“We drove out of the way to find this place after a playoff baseball game in cottondale.
It was soooo worth it. Prices are very reasonable and portions were surprisingly large!!
We ate fill the fish tacos, shrimp quesadillas and guacamole tacos. What a refreshing change to find Tex mex that tastes fresh!!!

“I ate a Chicken Chimalupa, and two chicken burritos from the Skyland restaurant and it was delicious. I’m talking about the best meal I’ve had in any Taco Casa! Kudos to the staff at the Taco Casa on Skyland near the Walmart and the license bureau.“
