“bartenders are great. food is great. they have karaoke on Wednesdays and maybe other nights as well I'm not sure. they stay open till 2:00 a.m. which is great if you want to go somewhere after work. it's very laid back environment. they have a couple of pool tables and darts and multiple restrooms which is great for a bar instead of a line.“

“We visited this great spot in the gorgeous Ross Bridge neighborhood to try something new for my son's birthday meal. Because of the intense Alabama heat, we chose to sit inside, though they have a really nice screened-in patio available. The restaurant is intimate but well laid out, featuring a couple of distinct dining areas and a bar.

Since it was our first time, our server, Daniella, recommended the candied bacon bombs to start. They came with a side of cheese curds, and both were absolutely delicious. Even as small as the curds were, they had a perfect cheese pull!

For our mains, I ordered the cowboy burger with an added egg and a side of sweet potato fries, while my son chose the shrimp and grits. My burger was incredible, a solid 9.5 out of 10. My son rated his shrimp and grits a 7, though he has a lot of experience with that dish to compare it to.

Daniella provided fantastic service, checking in at just the right times without hovering. I later realized I forgot to ask if they do anything special for birthdays, but honestly, my son was probably glad I forgot!

“Went to 2 different locations before visiting Prive/Palace. You get entry to the restaurant for free and the club in back for $10. Security will check you before entering and parking spaces were nice.

“I walked from the hotel and dare I say that the walk was a little sketchy. If I had to guess, I’d say that I wasn’t in the most favorable area of Birmingham, but nevertheless I blended in because I was in a familiar environment. Initially, I thought that the food truck outside was the bar, but I was able to go inside the bar and watch the game until my food was ready. I ordered a double shot of Jameson and the price was a bit more than I was accustomed to paying, but needless to say I didn’t scoff at the price. I like how both of the business were working together and from what I was able to see from the short amount of time that I was there is that it’s a popular corner of Birmingham. “First of all….it’s in the CUT! And they are ONLY OPEN ON SUNDAY NIGHTS. The glow from warm neon sign welcomes you on arrival near the front door. Parking was easy. On the street or the big lot.

As a first timer you just have to go in and find a spot. $5 cover charge so bring some cash. They also have security. There are lots of tables and chairs and of course a few seats at the bar. If a table or chair is open feel free to snag it. The service at the bar was quick. They accept cards. Bartenders were very nice.

If you want food head for the back corner and go to the window. Two guys will hook you up. A menu of chicken wings, fried fish, and pork chops and fried will satisfy you. The food came out HOT and it’s packaged to go.

“I was genuinely excited to try this restaurant after passing by it so many times while traveling through Downtown Homewood. Unfortunately, my experience was a bit of a letdown. That said, it wasn’t terrible by any means, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. A friend and I dined here together as most of my readers know, I often bring someone along for reviews to offer more than just my own perspective. Appetizer: We started with the Tallulah Wings, opting for the Sweet Heat Dry Rub with Alabama White BBQ sauce. The first surprise was that the wings arrived already coated in the sauce. In my opinion, when a sauce is meant as a dip, it’s best served on the side, not as a coating. Unfortunately, the wings themselves were quite underseasoned it reminded me of drinking a LaCroix, with just a faint whisper of the sweet heat flavor. That said, the little flavor I could taste had a nostalgic charm, reminiscent of Golden Flake potato chips and those are undeniably delicious. I just wish the wings had packed more of a punch. Entrée: Next, we tried the Social Stack, essentially their version of a McDonald's Big Mac. I have to say, it was significantly better than a Big Mac. The sauce was flavorful, the patties were fresh and well-seasoned, and everything came together beautifully. It’s a rich burger, but the crispy, seasoned fries helped balance that richness. The freshness and flavor made this burger a standout I’d absolutely order it again. If it weren’t for the disappointing wings, this meal would have earned a solid 4 out of 5 stars. As it stands, I’m giving it 3 out of 5. However, I do plan to return and explore more of their menu. I believe there’s potential here, and I’m hopeful my next visit will be a more satisfying experience.“

“My family visit here in birmingham and I was so lucky to found this place for my mother's birthday. The owner and the dj was great and make my mother's day even more wonderful. The staff and the other customers were very friendly and made of feel like the favorite cousins at a family reunion. The dj was very entertaining he played a variety of music. The owner was nice and had a good rapport with customers. I recommend this place for any grown and classy locals and out of towners visiting Birmingham like us.“
