This place changed my life
I love this place. It's like a secret little bar that no one knows about. The drinks are amazing - you instantly feel at home and the trivia is actually good (good trivia is hard to come by). It's exactly what a dive bar should be - a little unorthodox but comfortable and casual. Definitely a Birmingham gem.

The Church Key is a neighborhood bar in Birmingham with a unique ambiance, featuring old movies on the television. The bartender is a geriatric who made fun of a request for water, but the drinks are cheap and cold. Cool Ranch Doritos were prepared to perfection. The crowd is great, and the service and atmosphere are the best of any bar in Birmingham. The music is loud enough to enjoy a song and a conversation. Bar tenders are attentive and conversational. Clean bathrooms are single stall.
