As a first time down south and in Alabama I had the opportunity to come to the Waffle House also for the first time. Not knowing what to expect I asked Natasha, the waitress and the cook what they suggested on the menu. Taking their suggestions I decided on the Philly cheese steak bowl over hash browns. Great place to stop for a late night hunger or in our case, arriving in late for a campus visit. Food was quick and the waitress was very friendly. We got waffles, an extra plate thrown in we didn't even ask for, eggs, and grits! Gotta have grits in Alabama.

My first Waffle House experience and it was fantastic! For starters, not only was the staff very friendly for an early Saturday morning, but they were all very polite as well.
