The portions were just terrible the lady was rude and anytime i go i get way more maybe its cause these college kids are back and they like cut corners or just trying to meet demand but like for this to be a “normal thing” thats an issue maybe certain things should be relooked at or sum and being rude not cool. Spent $40 on 3 things (1 pound of boneless, pep calzone ,and cheese sticks) between 2 people and neither of us were left satisfied. It would be a different story if it at least tasted good but it was a 4/10 at best.the “garlic” sauce tasted like salted watered down butter, and the marinara was the best part of the calzone.the nuggets were alright (sweet chili) but they had no spice but its a college town so whatever.

To the girl who left the terrible review after yelling at all the staff for 30 minutes. The staff at D. Dough were doing their absolute best — the place was packed, and everyone was working hard to keep things moving. The girl behind the counter was nothing but kind and respectful, even when she was being yelled at by that customer. You could tell she was on the verge of tears, and the manager stepped in to calmly defend her — which, honestly, is exactly what a good leader should do.
The employees were patient, polite, and even offered free drinks to make up for the long wait. Accidents and delays happen when it’s busy, but the way the staff handled it showed real professionalism and care. D. Dough is such a fun, welcoming spot with delicious food and genuinely sweet people who go out of their way to make sure customers are happy. They definitely didn’t deserve that kind of treatment.

To the woman who ran behind the counter just to talk to some college kids: our estimated order time was 1:53. Ordered at 1:30. Received at 3:10. If you’re gonna come around the counter acting like you’re going to fight following us to our uber you better have a reason. Absolutely outrageous. I hope bosses know who they’ve hired and that grown women will follow college kids to their uber looking for a fight.

D.P. Dough never misses—and a big part of that is thanks to Olivia Catherine and Lala! They always bring the best energy and make every visit feel so fun and welcoming. Whether you’re grabbing a late-night calzone or just stopping by for a quick bite, they make the experience 10x better. Plus, the food is always hot, cheesy, and so satisfying. Definitely my go-to spot!

So there aren’t a ton of options, but there are plenty of unique combinations that can be made with their selection of veggies and vegan cheese. I got a calzone with vegan mozzarella, marinara, spinach, mushrooms, and garlic and I kid you not when I say that this was the best vegan meal I’ve had in my past 2.5 years living in Tuscaloosa. Please give it a try!
Pretty good shit, I love the hours. Great food for leaving the bar.

I’ve eaten here 3 times and every time I’ve gone back I thought it would be better. Boy was I wrong. This restaurant if you can even call it that is one of the worst I’ve had in Tuscaloosa. For a place with the name dough in it theirs is some of the worst I’ve ever tasted. Somehow the smell makes me nauseous. I have no personal vendetta against this establishment just the fact that I was mystified at how horrible it was when it really sounds good.

They reduced their amount of stuffings. The Calzones are now mostly dough and not much cheese and other toppings.

Ordered from here for delivery. They were out of part of one of the items I ordered, but sent the part they could anyway, while still refunding the cost of that item and sending another item to try as well. Great service on that, and the food was all excellent!

Paid $24 bucks for a calzone and cheesey bread for it to be cold and taste like raw cardboard. Do not eat here.
