The food is amazing. There may be a long wait on busy weekends. But it’s always worth it.

Tuscaloosa is a great city with plenty of restaurants serving up delicious food. And, it's also home to the greatest football team in the nation! Roll Tide! If you're in town to roll with the Tide, visiting your kids, or for whatever reason, you need to eat at Depalma's Italian Cafe.

A friend recommended it to me, so I took my wife there for lunch. My friend has great taste. The atmosphere is very Italian, and even our waiter was Italian. The food was outstanding. My wife orders the Chicken Porcini Calzone. Wow! It was fantastic. You can't get that at a pizza chain restaurant.

The lasagna of the day was Carnivore Lasagna. How can you not try that? And it was as meaty and tasty as it sounds. Their marinara sauce was so good. It's was sweet, but not too sweet. The garlic bread was a perfect addition to the plate.

If you like Italian food, you e for to try Depalma's. If you don't like Italian food ... what's a matter wit you?

TEA TIME

Had a Caesar salad with the additional salmon! Wasn’t in a pasta mood. First time here, portions are good, food was great and they catered to us. A loud italian restaurant but the vibes are good & Our waitress was so kind.

Service has really fallen off the past few times I’ve been. Used to be top notch. Spent almost an hour and a half there today and the server might have been at our table for a minute total the entire time. No dessert offered, wrong drinks, food brought out 1 plate at a time about 5 minutes apart each plate, drinks weren’t refilled towards the end of the meal. Felt like we weren’t welcome. Pasta was undercooked. Not al dente, undercooked. As tough as beef jerky almost. Carlos was the server.

One order was pasta Depalma. Had to coat it in salt and pepper because there was no taste and was basically pasta in water. One of the last times we came, we ordered a bottle of wine and they were out so we asked for an equivalent in price. Got another bottle and then when the check came, it was twice the price. The server argued that he told us, he did not. Did not catch his name.

Won’t be coming back unless it’s the only restaurant open.

The chicken and sun dried tomatoes pasta dish was so good! The stuffed mushrooms were also very good!

One of the best places for fine Italian food I’ve ever had. Sometimes a bit of a wait, with the small dining room but always worth it. The sommelier always makes great recommendations based on entrees being ordered. Specials change up often.

Wife's dish had a hair in the broccoli, still willing to give it 3 stars cause everything else was pretty good

Everything! The food is absolutely delicious! We spent my birthday April 2 at Depalmas… You will love everything. The service is top tier. We always ask to be seated with our waiter Carlos. Our desert was the bread pudding and it was Chefs 😘 wonderful. Can’t wait to go back.

Food was not as good as it was hyped up to be, and definitely not worth the price. Won't be going back!

Overall another average place in T town. Place was not busy when we ate lunch, yet was seated at a handicap table, which made for an awkward interaction with server and us. Salad was average, nothing special, carnivore lasagna was the special and was full of meat and cheese, they put some type of none melting cheese on top which didn’t give it the most photo worthy look, but overall tasted pretty good. Veal Marsala was another unappealing looking dish, way too much sauce and overall average at best. Crusted salmon was dry and below average. Saw a lot of pizzas come out of kitchen so maybe this is really just a good pizza place. Decor was dated and overall the inside looks run down - maybe that’s the look they are going for. Wouldn’t go back unless it was to specifically try the pizzas.
