Went here last night and server was great. Drinks and appetizers were excellent. However when we received our steaks, 3 filet mignon and 1 ribeye special. 2 were good my ribeye and one other were rare and were ordered medium. Sent one back and it came back ruined, I brought my ribeye home and it took 2 and one half minutes in microwave to make it medium. Very disappointed. This was a special occasion and I won’t be back!!! You need to teach someone how to cook! For $430 this is a joke!!!

We came on Saturday evening 7:45 pm for dinner. We sat in the cozy bar area. They did not seem to have enough help. Portions were small.( lobster ravioli ) Bartenders very nice.

Great ambiance for special occasions. Drinks were tasty with good variety. Service was top-notch; our server, Maddie, was attentive without being bothersome, and very friendly and knowledgeable. Wonderful fare! Had the filets - cooked perfectly. Presentation was really good. Overall, a varied selection was available. Looking around, all the dishes looked tempting. We'll definitely return!

We were welcomed by our server who was friendly as well as helpful in explaining the different entrees. We all ordered a wedge salad to start our dinner. The wedge was one of the best I have ever had. It was so big that it could have been divided between two people. Two of us were lucky enough to get the last 2 specials of Parmesan coated halibut. The fish was delicious & perfectly cooked. But the side of cheese grits was dry & not very flavorful. My wife had the crab cake appetizer as her main dish which she said was perfect. Though their desserts were tempting, we all here so stuffed, we had to turn them down.

The food was so good! We had a party of 4 and everyone loved what they got. The drinks were really good and it was strong enough to just have one. The dessert was delicious, the portions were just a little bigger than I expected. It was my husband's birthday and they gave us a free toast at the end of dinner. Our servers were attentive and it was a great experience. I'll definitely be going back!

We had dinner with Friends at Evangeline's. It is our favorite restaurant to dine at! The food is always fabulous and the atmosphere too. I highly recommend of Evangeline's to anyone. Be sure to get your reservation very early in order to get in because it is a very popular restaurant in Tuscaloosa.

I would really like to say I had a great meal because I think it's a beautiful restaurant and the service was great. I just didn't think the menu was very interesting. I got teriyaki salmon it truly it was almost inedible. My son got a bun less burger - ok. And my husbands grouper was bland. But better than the rest of the meals. Unfortunate!

This was our 2nd dining experience at Evangelines. Our 1st experience was top notch from food to service to value for price paid. The service is top tier at Evangelines.....very friendly staff, attentive, professional, and efficient. The ambiance is lovely and we enjoy a lively crowd.... it is not super quiet but also not overly loud either... I found it to be quite nice! CONS: We ordered the fried green caprese app as well as the crab cakes. The fried green tomatoes had absolutely no flavor but the portion size was fine (4 tomatoes). The crab cakes were good but not overly flavorful either. Priced at 18.00 with a portion size of just 2 fairly small crab cakes, I felt there should have been at least 3. For cocktails we ordered an old fashioned with bulliet rye and a Hendricks martini. The martini was great but again a very small martini glass. The old fashioned was filled to the rim with ice and they really were not good ..... don't think they used bulliet but instead crown which is their house. Definitely not a value for the price of the cocktail. We also ordered 2 glasses of Sonoma Cutrer Chard but again a super small white wine glass that felt like a 4oz pour. Again not a good value. For dinner we ordered the lobster ravioli, and 2 Mediterranean grouper. The ravioli was absolutely delicious!!!!!! However, it is 28.00 and u get 5 very tiny, very thin triangle ravioli. Again, not a great value for the price! The grouper was ok..... nothing spectacular and nothing poor just kinda average but the portion size was much better and I thought the price point of 38.00 was fair. Just very underwhelming in regards to flavor.

The food was delicious as always and beautifully presented. Our server Jackie was terrific. Our only complaint is the noise level from the loud music, making it difficult to hear conversation at our table. After requesting the volume be lowered, it was somewhat.

Always fresh, outstanding service. Great attention to detail- great foodie spot in Tuscaloosa. The variety gives everyone something great to enjoy! Don't skip the dessert- key lime pie and peanut butter pie are top notch!
