The atmosphere is great. Food is great. Love the 5 item menu concept, but it would be nice to see it updated.
Unfortunately I was too busy eating to take pictures. The restaurant is a little dark for my taste and the font in the menu too small for my eyes but the food was delicious. Will visit again
Always fantastic
Sometimes in life you come across restaurants that make you go, “Yeah, I mean, it was pretty good.” That is this place to a tee! The service was great, and the atmosphere was awesome. The food itself, now, heh, let’s just say, THATS A DIFFERENT STORY. Not bad, not great - my cheeseburger was a little overcooked, and the two patties together are probably the equivalent of 3/4 of a regular burger. The fries are unremarkable. Still filled me up though, haha! I was like, “Come to papa, ahah!” Anywho, if you’re still reading this, I’d say, yeah, it was pretty good. Not like, “Oh, you GOTTA try this restaurant” good, but, “You wanna hit 5?” “Yeah, sure, we haven’t been in a minute” good.
Update: went here graduation weekend and my dad got the cheeseburger and he really enjoyed it. I had the fried shrimp and it was pretty baller as well.
Amazing place. First time in town and picked a winner. Gets it's name from offering only 5 appetizers, 5 dinners, 5 signature drinks. The three of us all loved our meals.
I enjoyed myself. I normally do not get the fried chicken, but it was very good.
The long islands need a lot of work. My medium well steak was a chewy and bland.
Everything about this place is awesome! The food exceeded my expectations! For the price you’re not gonna do any better! I would call this place a gem but everybody knows about it. Lol. Super friendly Staff; beautiful downtown location. If I could give the food six out of five stars I would. It really does stand out in Tuscaloosa.
new year's eve, 5:15pm- it took the waiter quite a while to get to us despite it not being very busy (throughout the meal he seemed more concerned about hanging out at the bar than attending to us). 30 minutes into dinner service and they were already out of the fish tacos (i assume they didn't even have them to begin with but neglected to tell the front of the house staff). after a considerable wait we got our food- the burger was over cooked and as dry as a hockey puck, the fries were way beyond too salty, and the $36 fish and chips were under seasoned and didn't even come with their signature side salad. next time we want to spend $70 on dinner for two we'll definitely be going somewhere else.
Neat place, loved the atmosphere & food was terrific. There is only a brunch menu for Saturday & Sunday so I plan to go back during the week to try out some of the highly recommended items on the full menu. I had chicken & waffles & they were

We were in town on business and came on a Thursday night. The 5 item menu plus one daily special makes picking dinner somewhat an easy task. We had the chicken, good but over-fried and not enough sauce. The potatoes are very garlicky! The pork chop was excellent. Chardonnay was not very good nor was the pineapple jalapeno margarita. Service was excellent.

Food took over 50 min to come out after ordering, even though the restaurant was half empty. Speakers playing the live jazz from the other room were laughably too loud, everyone was looking around wondering what the hell they were thinking.

My family and I were told this is a must to visit while in town. We were certainly not disappointed.

I got the avocado SHAREABLE appetizer. They don’t even give you a whole avocado. You get half an avocado. TERRIBLE!!!!! 1/2 an avocado for $12!!! In got the dumplings, only got 6, and the avocado appetizer with a glass of Michelob and it was $33!! 6 dumplings and half an avocado was $33 bucks???? Are you kidding me? Ridiculous! Go elsewhere.
