Don't expect real pulled pork quality bbq here since all they serve is a Denny Moore shredded meat version much like pork pudding. Hoo's own bbq sauce is to die from too. This place catered the 2021 and 2022 ADay Saban luncheon and should be ashamed. Cheap Frozen fruit was offered for desert - poor presentation and bad tasting. No buns or slaw were available and catering help all in too much of a hurry to put everything up.

I have no idea how this place isnt more popular than it is. Food is amazing. Lady at the counter is super sweet as well. AND the price is amazing. Literally my favorite place in town and I personally recommend the ribs. Hope the word gets spread!!

That BBQ and ribs and smoked chicken sammich are off the chain ... Good to ya. The okra and fried corn on the cob are a must. Hoo's Q as the younger folks say"be bussin"

Hoo's is our go-to place for quick BBQ in T-town. Service is exceptional and food is always great. This is THE best value for your $$$ in Tuscaloosa, so skip Dreamland (overrated) and come here. Nowhere else can you get 4 meaty pork ribs for $7. Also love the pulled pork, potato salad, beans and make sure you get extra sides of the grilled okra. Finish it off with the $3 banana pudding - thank me later.

I am visiting Tuscaloosa, my home town. Staff very nice. Restaurant clean but sparse on decor. Called in an order. Picked it up. Got back to my hotel and instead of the pimento bites, I had a pimento/cheese sandwich. I tasted it. OK, but far from delicious. The bbq pork had a very good flavor, but more shredded than I personally like. BBQ sauce was flavorful. Cole slaw bland and very underwhelming. Looked and tasted like mass produced from a supplier rather than home made. Baked beans had a decent flavor but dry for my liking. For take out, the presentation was well executed. I did call back about not getting the pimento bites and the person quickly offered to make it right if I would come back. I chose not too though. I wish the establishment well but doubtful I would eat there again.

Better than average. Try the Corn on the Cob. Baked Beans are great. Great Sides. Dessert is good. BBQ pork is ok. Good service. Very clean BR.

The BBQ, Not bad. The Meatloaf, pretty good. Atmosphere, forgettable. The smoked wings..... We have a few things to talk about here. These bad boys are smoked to perfection. Then dropped in the fryer to crisp the skin. Then (If you order them wet, and you should) they are smothered in an Alabama style whiter sauce. Holy crap! These jumped right to the #1 spot on the best wings I have ever had. I will order wings every time I go here.

Delicious southern bbq! Wait time was minimal and the food was great. Couldn't make up our minds so we went with the loaded fries, rib platter and the smoked wings. Nothing disappointed and the ribs could be some of the best I've had from all around the world.

We had a pulled pork plate and a rib plate. Food is ordered at a counter and they brought it to us. For sides we had baked beans, cole slaw and potato salad. The sauce was a little different but good. The service was friendly and prompt. The servings were copious.
