Food is very very good, only complaint would be not many fresh fish sushi rolls, but the rolls they do have are bomb !!

I can’t believe I’ve never left a rating! This has been my favorite restaurant in Tuscaloosa for several years. My whole family loves it. This is a small family owned business. The service is great, the team is warm and Ichiban is a staple in the community.

Cool place to get something to eat and have a robot deliver it to us at the table!!! Hope to try more when I go there again.

Ordered dine in for one person. Waited thirty mins for my food. Figured they had forgotten my order and I had to go ask for my food. I was not impressed with the dish. Cold and rubbery meat and veggies. The Boba tea was good, and the rice was just ok. Always heard good things about Ichiban as a Tuscaloosa native, but I was disappointed.

I really really like this place. The sushi is super fresh and the poke bowls are awesome! I do wish the food came out a little quicker; it was a pretty long wait both times we were here. That being said, I have ZERO experience making sushi, so it might be a perfectly acceptable amount of time and I just don't know it. Wait or no wait, we will eat there again. Also, random, a little robot brings you your food and that cracks me up every time.

We have been coming to this place for a while since our daughter started school in UA. We love the food, the service and the ambience. The place is kept nice, clean and tidy. The food is always delicious and come in a good & generous portion. We love the sushi, the bento box and pretty much all everything on the menu. You need to try the yum yum sauce ! The robot server Lucky is a gem!! Always puts a big smile on our face when we see Lucky!

Poke bowls are great! Service sucks lady in front is always stressed and has a mean demeanor. Gets a little loud in there.

Best sushi in town. Such a sweet family and wonderful restaurant all around! ❤️

The reviews here and elsewhere online said this restaurant has the best sushi in town but this had to be the worst experience at a Japanese restaurant. We ordered nigiri and sashimi. Some of the sushi was still frozen. The rice was too warm for the nigiri. I ordered bento box with tempura shrimp and veggies. The tempura here is not real tempura because it was absolutely deep-fried like fried chicken and was not fluffy. The restaurant is clean but the AC was almost nonexistent. If you’re looking for some good sushi or typical Japanese food, then don’t go here.
