J & B Fish & Barbecue

I go here often even though I no longer live as close as I used to. I love eating my whiting fish 3 piece plate while watching Wheel of Fortune there. I was surprised by some of low star reviews. Their descriptions made me think they have never actually eaten the food or ordered from the staff there. Everyone is nice and about their business and the fish is always perfectly fried!! I’ll see y’all tomorrow.

Purchased Lunch a whole catfish sandwich and 2 piece whiting meal with a piece of 7 up pound cake for $ 26.74 on Wednesday, August 7, 2024@11:53 am. The food was disgusting ? It tasted like it was spoiled ?.Called the establishment and spoke to the owner Mr.White He was very defensive and rude in his tune. Health Score: 81! I took the food back to the establishment. Mr. White called me a liar and talked down to me with any resolution to the situation.

This restaurant has moved locations a few times over the years. But anyone who knows about their food knows it's worth the drive to the new location in Moundville. Thankfully the new location accepts cards as payment. It's worth nothing their prices have gone up quite a bit ....

J and B is top 2 in Tuscaloosa Co. for fish! I just took a star off of this visit because they were closing early and not taking any more orders when I pulled up??. It was Saturday eve before "Easter" ?? ?? ✝️? I'm thinking if Jesus was in my passenger seat, he would definitely have wanted them to get this money and serve us some fish and bread and not be closing early to go and cry and crawl around a cross they TRIED to kill him on??‍♂️. But I'll come back and give a 5 star the next time I eat there.
