Coming from Chicago, I’m used to good food, but great service is hard to come by. J&R Cafe is a perfect combination of both. Ms. Josie is the sweetest and sets the bar high for my first impression of Alabama. The food is all home cooked and by far the best I’ve ever had. 20/5 star rating.

I was looking for some good vegetables for lunch, and I found them. Miss J had turnip greens, collard greens, peas, macaroni & cheese, a few other vegetables and some meat. I had to get back to work quickly, and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The food is delicious, and Miss J was super friendly. I'll definitely be going back soon.
