The woman was nice, clean place with a nice smell. The toasted coconut gelato was really good. I started to get an assorted bag of chocolate, covered espresso, beans, cashews, and pecans, but realized that they are ingredients list said cornstarch, corn syrup, and a lot of dyes. So I decided against it. And they’re a little glass case they did have milk and dark chocolate peanut butter melt away, which were really yummy and I got two of the roasted pecan clusters, the meltaway were better than the clusters because they contained one or two chopped pieces of pecans. Technically, it was just a big old chunk of chocolate. I’ll stick to Ghirardelli.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review for Peterbrooke Chocolatier – Tuscaloosa
I’m a proud rewards member for a reason—Peterbrooke is a burst of joy every single time. The store is vibrant, the energy is warm, and I’m always greeted with a smile the moment I walk in.
Every visit feels like a celebration. The space is always seasonally decorated—so whether it’s fall leaves, Easter eggs, or holiday sparkle, my inner child smiles happily each time. It’s chocolate meets wonderland.
It’s my go-to for sweet treats, gifts, or just a well-deserved pick-me-up after a long week (or a mid-day slump). The malt balls and chocolate-covered pecans are my absolute favorites, but truly everything is crafted with care and delicious intention.
Whether I’m browsing solo or popping in after lunch with my son, I always leave happy. A Tuscaloosa gem that turns chocolate into an experience.
Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have always loved peterbrooke. Everything I have ever had from there has been delicious. However I was leery of the Dubai chocolate. I’ve seen it on TikTok and was not interested. I don’t even like pistachios but I knew if it came from peterbrooke i should give it a chance. I’m so glad I did. It blew me away. The pistachio doesn’t change the flavor but it adds incredible texture to the chocolate. It’s still so rich and creamy but also crispy. I highly suggest you go get yourself a bar and eat it fresh out of the cooler. It’s incredibly delicious! Special thanks to the owner for encouraging me to try it and to the employees who are always so kind and welcoming when I stop by.
The best experience. Helpful staff that is willing to go the extra mile for you to find what you’re searching for! I will be coming back!

My mom would often come here and buy some of the best chocolate ect. May I say they are amazing when it comes to profession. Hopefully we will go there again soon and have more of their delicious stuff.

Exceptional service and detail given to me for a couple of large orders. They checked in with me to make sure everything was correct and made I was happy before I left. Even gave my son a small goody bag. Love this Tuscaloosa store and can’t wait to use them again!

Their chocolate camp for kids is amazing! My kids had so much fun and learned about how chocolate is grown and made. They provide lunch, chocolates, gelato, and a t-shirt. The women who run the camp are absolutely wonderful with the kiddos. Will definitely do it again next summer!
The inside is amazing and smells wonderful plus the new owner is so sweet! She went out of her way to make the chocolate covered orange peels I was craving while I was standing in-store even though they weren't available in the display!
