Food was disgusting. Red Lobster used to be the Gucci of restaurants but it is worse than Krystals on a bad day.

Tuscaloosa’s Red Lobster is permanently closed. Food was always good but their service was weak and their air conditioning was weaker. So sad to see this chain fade away.

We visited on a Saturday night. There were only 3 out 4 tables seated when we entered (a red flag for a restaurant on Saturday night). It took the server over 15 minutes to come to our table and take our drink order. It was another 10 to 15 minutes after that before he brought our drinks and took our food order.

The food was decent, but a couple items were cold. I can definitely understand why the company has filed for bankruptcy if the service at their other locations is similar to this one. I will be very surprised if this location is still open at the end of the year. It's a shame because it used to be one of my favorites, and the service was good in the past.

Red Lobster needs to hire more waitstaff. We waited 20 minutes just to be greeted at our table. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes to place our drink order. We asked if it was okay to go ahead and order our food since she was there. It was a long time to get drinks and longer for our food.

I ordered grilled salmon from menu; however, I wanted to substitute the Brussel spouts for broccoli. The waitress was very accommodating, but later returned stating that the manager informed her I could not substitute, and went on to say that I could add a side of broccoli. Crazy as that sounds, restaurant dictating that I order only what was on menu, no variations. And they wonder, why this chain is suffering. Not a happy customer!

Their fountain drinks were out that day. The food was hot and delicious. The waiter was a student at the University of Alabama and in his small chit chat he made some valuable suggestion to my daughter about college. I heard her tell her friends that he said come to college to study not just party. The education at UA is worth the investment. He was an African American you man majoring in Education and plan to teach in school History.

Red Lobster is a known entity in dinner service restaurants. It's not the greatest, but you most likely won't be disappointed either. And the food is fine for the price.

Our service was excellent, and the staff did an outstanding job keeping our party happy.
