Not authentic Jamaican food. It's good, but it's cooked like soul food. No Jamaican flavors at all.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at night

Ordered through Doordash and it was worth the money to put it simply! The cornbread is so fresh that it dissolves in your mouth. The pineapple jerk ribs are to die for since the meat practically falls off the bone and the sauce flavor is exquisite. The collared greens were warm and their seasonings were delicious! I'm not a native to Alabama nor too familiar with soul/Jamaican food but I can say with confidence that this restaurant is amazing! Definitely worth ordering from or visiting their restaurant in person.

Great meal! I ordered fried catfish with the sides steam cabbage and rice and peas. The catfish was battered and fried just like my grandma used to cook fish. Loved it! And the sauce in the rice and peas went perfectly with the fried fish. Excellent flavor! The cabbage was really good as well. And it all tasted so good with a cold beer on a hot Alabama day! The service was great and everyone was friendly! I would definitely recommend.

Terrible experience.. drove a while to get here & was told by someone wearing see-thru leggings with her drawers showing that we couldn’t sit inside & was denied service because of wearing a tank top (not a wife beater). Waitress dressed like she sitting on the couch all day doing laundry had the nerve. Trying to have 5 star standards with a 2 star decor & look is wild logic. Been to plenty restaurants in the area (even fancier) with the attire & there was no problem. The owner sounds delusional. Make it make sense, You in a whole college town. Mind you there were NO customers inside so I’m sure the business was needed. Do not recommend! Anywhere but here.

This restaurant is in a prime location. I was welcomed upon entry. Very chill. While the food tasted good, I wouldn’t categorize it as Jamaican.

Disappointed in being turned around because my boyfriend had on a sleeveless shirt. When the women herself had on leggings with her undergarments showing and tshirt stained. If it’s fine dining the staff should dress accordingly. The rules should apply to the staff as well. Yet we had to wait on the waitress to wrap up her conversation with her friend outside in a car to finally come in and inform us that she would not service us. We are in the middle of summer are we expected to wear bubble coats? Better question are we expected to dress more professional than the staff? The building was empty and we were excited about trying you all for the first time. However it’s a hard no for us recommending this place to anyone until the staff represents the upscale dinning attire you are expecting from your customers.

As an island girl...I'm so happy to have a Jamaican spot in town. The food is good! Oxtail is my favorite and I've had there a few times. It's definitely soft and falls off the bone just how I like but the seasoning is a little lacking. Perhaps this is to cater towards people who are not used to island spices but this is the only critique I have. Will definitely be trying other dishes soon. Also I've tried to get fried plantain on several occasions and they are always out. This makes me very sad!

The drinks were good, the service was not good at all. I walked in, and there was no clear direction as to who was in charge of seating or ordering. They charged me 60 dollars for oxtail, two plates only to realize they were out. Then, I ordered the jerk chicken, and the rice smelled rancid. Will not be returning here.
