Very rude employees. And they don't except cash. Much better locally owned coffee shops around.
Starbucks in Tuscaloosa offers a convenient stop for coffee enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. With multiple locations, including 816 Veterans Memorial Parkway and 804 Skyland Blvd, customers can enjoy a variety of beverages and snacks in a comfortable setting.
The menu features a wide range of options, from classic brewed coffees to seasonal specialties like the Caramel Brûlée Frappuccino. For those seeking a lighter option, the Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso has received positive feedback for its smooth and just sweet enough flavor. Pairing these drinks with items such as bacon egg bites or a cream cheese Danish can enhance the experience.

Extremely rude. Also they do not take cash which is weird. What kind of business doesn’t take MONEY.. I mean honestly.

I keep getting charged for no ice and still getting it half full. I called to ask if this is normal and no one was helpful. I just feel really uncared for here. Workers are straight up rude.

They were out of Half and Half and so, I order full cream in cold brew and it came out with chunks (it was spoiled) the staff argued it wasn’t the date had not passed and were going to still serve it. Of course they did not have another one so I asked for a refund and manager could not even do that!

I love the refreshers.
Gotta get the cheese Danish 🧀 😋
I just had the worst customer service experience ever. They literally kicked me out of the shop when I politely asked to wait for just a minute as my taxi was on the way. It was raining outside, and the staff were extremely rude and unaccommodating.
I loved this Starbucks until the drive through employee Maya YELLED at me on Easter for no reason. After I asked her “Why are you yelling at me?” Politely she CONTINUED to yell at me.

I love this Starbucks! I’ve been coming here every day this past year. I have spent all 350 of my dining dollars here. The employees are so nice and they always make the drinks well. There are always several workers on the clock so service is quick and efficient. This place is run very smoothly. I love getting a caramel macchiato or and iced matcha latte. The grilled cheese is also addictive. They also update the art on the chalkboard often, and it’s always so cute!

I am not sure of the positive reviews. This is by far the worst Starbucks outlet that I am aware of. Part of it is about the size: it is simply hard to run with so many in-person and remote customers. Yet the service level is very uneven and this is something the managers could have addressed. Here are some basic issues:
1) people at the counter may not know basic drinks such as “caffe americano”
2) what is actually in stock and what you can order via the app may not be the same thing and be prepared to have to file a formal complaint to the managing company to get a refund
3) people at the counter will not check if what you order is in stock unless you ask
4) people in charge of warmed baked items may literally forget to bring them back to the counter unless reminded
5) the place is crowded. Be prepared for long lines and even longer order waits.
6) complaining usually results in a rude response from the manager
