Been going there since I found out about it while a UA student in 2008 now anytime I'm in town its a must have or else the trip is a failure.
Parking: There are i think 5 spots facing univ but you can park on the sides and behind. FYI it isn't paved just gravel
Kid-friendliness: My kids absolutely love summer snow. There are only a few picnic tables but you can sit on the deck or bench. The amazingness of the snowcone more than cancels out all if any negative

I flew in all the way from Massachusetts. And the first thing I wanted was to come here, and order the caboose special. It was a good as I reminder. I had the first one ever made 30 years ago.

A Tuscaloosa staple that is always delicious. I’ve never had a bad snow cone here… in fact, I’ve always had the absolute best snow cones here. The guys running it are top notch, nice folks. I drive from Northport to visit Summer Snow, and I’ll continue to do that.

Local landmark. The best snow cones around. Small parking lot can get quickly crowded and limited seating at three picnic tables out back. Great refreshing summertime stop. I love the fuzzy navel. They have a ton of flavors, and the option to add cream.
