This place has been our to go when no one can't decide what's for dinner. Always consistently good, authentic Chinese food for more than 30 years. Highly recommended when you are in Tuscaloosa or Northport .

Server had a problem with doing his job apparently, hardly any communication and rushed us with only 5 minutes to look over the menu.

Forgot two orders of plain fried rice, food was cold, soggy, and now well portioned. Sesame chicken tastes like ketchup. Not impressed, will not be eating again. 👎

Placed a to-go order inside the restaurant and the hostess forgot to put it in. We waited over an hour, asked for a refund and the employees were very rude. Never going back again. They did not apologize for their mistake, and barely acknowledged us the entire time we were in the EMPTY restaurant. There were only two other tables. Food definitely not made with love.

I've noticed a decline in service and food quality as the years have gone by. Today we were unable to be seated because they didn't have any servers on staff and the host seemed very annoyed that customers had showed up to be seated and eat at the restaurant. The food has always been decent quality and their mei fun is our favorite in town.

Good food for the price!! I’ve been to many asian restaurants in the states and this is one of the places that are generous when it comes to the food portion!! The mongolian beef is quite good!! The atmosphere might be not as fancy as some might expect but it is the true representative of what a regular asian restaurant is like imo!

This was the worst chicken lo mein I’ve ever had in my life. Granted, I’m from New York, so maybe I’m snobby about Chinese food, Indian food, Italian food etc since food in ny is delicious, but this was just bad. I ate it till I was full and then threw it out. I was very disappointed.

It was great customer service, being the day after Thanksgiving. I ordered 8 steamed buns and my kids loved them!!!

Awful!! Food quality has declined tremendously. No seasoning, watery, and tasteless. Swen has been my go-to place for many years. I placed an order for two dinner portions of Mongolian Beef with egg rolls and it was bad. The beef was light colored, appearring under cooked. No more crispy rice vermicelli, and not to mention the food was cold. The rice was not fresh either. All for $30. I will not be returning.

Food was cold Server brought out our food and that was it, no refills on drinks not checking on us ,nothing. She was to busy on her laptop to take care of customers.

I looked up Pho restaurants near me and Swen came up. I was excited to see Pho on the menu. I read through the mixed reviews, but I figured I'd try it for myself. When I walked in, I was pleasantly greeted and sat right away. I ordered pho with meatballs and a spring roll. The waitress brought out the plate of herbs and veggies. She also brought out chili oil and Sriracha, but no hoisin sauce 😕. When my order came out, I noticed I got a regular fried egg roll and not a spring roll 😔. I also noticed the noodles were vermicelli noodles and not pho noodles, plus there are large chunks of onions instead of thinly sliced, but no biggie on that part. The meatballs looked handrolled which I wasn't expecting, almost reminded me of Italian meatballs you put in a wedding soup; though they were really good. Overall, I didn't have a bad experience, I just won't go back for pho, instead I just try the Chinese food options.
