We stopped for breakfast before the Bama game. What a cool old breakfast spot. Tight seating inside but the service was really good. Real country breakfast food. The country ham and biscuits were delicious. The fried taters were really good to. Authentic country cooking at its finest.
We went to Wayside recently, had a great server, J.J., he was very attentive, not overbearing! The food was terrific that day and it is such a local gem, can't beat it. We had lunch, but breakfast is great, too!
Love the yummy southern breakfast and JJ's attentive excellent service. You need to experience one of the iconic traditions in Tuscaloosa. Heads up it is located in a small charming house & a treasure for several generations - so tailor expectations accordingly. Must haves-grits, short cakes, bacon & the homemade biscuits!
