I have to drive from Atlanta to work in Ft. Payne about every six months. It’s around a two hour drive both ways, but no matter how late or early we are leaving we are smiling thinking about a plate of ribs. This restaurant is the place we talk about for the time we are gone and the thing we miss the most when we leave. Couldn’t recommend it more.

I actually delivered a door dash to them- didnt eat there BUT the smell….. whhhooowweeeeee- smelled amazing and the people I interacted with, were super nice. It’s a big open area with an ice cream bar upstairs. I also noticed that you can book private ice cream parties upstairs in the ice cream room! I will be doing that with the kids soon!! Definitely will be going back to try the food. Parking is….. not bad once you figure out that you have to go in the back door unless you want to park around back and walk to the storefront.

Ordered food tonight with DoorDash. Ordered a half a chicken got a half rack of ribs. Called in the owner said that they had a big party and didn’t have time to deal with it. Owner said we got a better deal with the ribs than the chicken. If we wanted ribs we would have ordered them. The other food we got was correct but chicken fingers tasted burnt. So if you don’t eat in the restaurant it don’t matter.

One of those hidden places that if you're not from around there, you wouldn't know it existed. But it's worth hunting it down. The smoked half a chicken could not have been better. Also tried the barbecued pork, as well as some ribs. Everything was absolutely delicious! Do yourself a favor and look this place up.

We had a mishap at a different restaurant so we ended up coming here and let me just say when things don't always go the way we want there is usually a blessing in disguise that you dont see immediately and that is what happened here. We were told we couldn't get ribs at the other place unless they were finished cooking in the microwave so we were thanks but no thanks. We took a chance and placed our oder with Rib Shack because we really had a taste for ribs and let me tell you they were DELISH fall off the bone ribs! The barbecue sauce was amazing! We also got potato salad(taste like your grandma's favorite homemade), homemade southern mac n cheese and turnip greens that were slap yo mama till the last drop of juice! We also had their pork sandwich that was soooo tender, do not hesitate to go here...as a matter of fact you should run now and so glad we did! Also, Jamie was sooooo nice and made us feel so welcome!

My coworker and I are from Texas and swung by for a bite. Great atmosphere, great service and unbelievable barbecue. Brook(hope I spelled it right) was our server, timel, patient and gave us great information before we got our orders in. I had pulled pork and 2 ribs, the pork was tender, juicy and filling. The ribs were the star of the show. My hat is off to Deacon Jackson for the flavor and meticulous attention to heat and time on the heat. The ribs were no joke just like meat flavored butter. They held up until you bit into them then you better have a napkin or a quick mouth to get it all down! They seemed to wait to be tasted before they fell off the bone. 10 out of 10, I am stopping by again, tonight, since I am traveling home tomorrow.
