“FINALLY!! Passed this place a while back (closed) and didn’t realize it was in operation. Then 3 and 1/2 weeks ago, I googled Valley Head restaurants and have been trying to get there to try the ribs ever since. We seem to have caught all the closed Saturdays lol, but since hubby was off on a Thursday, we went for lunch. The picture doesn’t do justice, those ribs are FINE! Delicious, fall off the bone (literally) juicy, and none of that overly smokey flavor. Perfect! And the pulled pork was the best we have had anywhere in quite a while. Very cute place with friendly staff. My husband didn’t want me to brag on them too much because since moving to the area, we keep having these great first meals and not so great follow-ups (at other restaurants). He doesn’t want me to jinx it on this spot. We will definitely be back to try the bbq nachos! (And more ribs!!)”

“This place nailed it on food, service and all of the tiny details that make a difference. I’m so happy I stumbled upon this place. I ordered the chicken quesadilla which I recommend. I got a pico de gallo to put on mine and added sour cream. The. I got the green tomatillo sauce which is just the right amount of tang and theirs is blended smooth and creamy so no bits of tomatoes for people that have texture issues. Everything was delicious AND before I left, I saw someone with a drink/slush concoction and the lady at the ordering desk had them make me up a sample to taste and OMG, yes! I ordered the AMAZING MANGONADA. It is shown in the pictures here. Oh my goodness it is a must try for mango lovers! I love this place!! “I just moved to Flat Rock, AL about 6 months ago and happened to find Howard's on my way to Ft Payne. I eat here about twice a week because it's SO good. The food is always hot and fresh on the buffet, homemade and delicious. The burger off the menu is always good too. My kids pick Howard's over any other place when we go out to eat. The staff is super friendly and we're treated like family each and every time we are here. My daughter is visually impaired and they do anything they can to accommodate her. This place is hands down my favorite.”

“This is a gem of a place, wish we would have discovered it on our first day of vaca versus our last. I had the avocado toast and my hubby had the Bakehouse bowl, delicious, fresh, coffee delicious and smooth. Visit downtown Fort Payne and stop here for breakfast or lunch, you will be pleased! ”

“On any given time, I would rate this experience 4 stars across the board, but tonight, just wasn't one of those nights, and a business needs to know where it comes short. It wasn't a busy night at Osaka, only had 2 grills going, serviced by the same server. That server ended up not being very proactive, and didn't come around hardly at all. Both parties had to get up to get their own to go boxes being left alone so long after the cooks had already left, and then because we had a six or more party, stuck us with an 18% tip on top of it all. Unfortunately under no circumstance did service earn that gratuity, needless to say I'll remember to never come back with anything over 5 people, or we will find somewhere else to eat going forward, this isn't a cheap place to eat, and we spent nearly $70 for 3 people in my family alone. For Osaka, I recommend a retraining reminder for your servers to be attentive to your clients, and earn that 18% gratuity they're stuck with or earn the tips they get. Everyone at the table agreed it was poor service.”

“The staff here was super friendly and super helpful, including the manager Chris. We are from PA and were in the area and looking for a good place to eat. “It is our tradition to stop here and eat after climbing all day at Little River Canyon, which is almost every weekend. It is the best authentic Mexican food in the state of Alabama in my opinion. I tried others in Fort Payne and they do not come close! Chorizo Burrito with their green sauce is my go to.”

“We always come to Wildflower Cafe when we stay in DeSoto State Park. It’s a very cozy quaint little restaurant and shop!! The food is amazing, the staff is super friendly and the art is beautiful!! I usually get the quiche, but have had the tomato pie is great too! They have a sampler platter that is wonderful if you don’t know what you eat!! The peanutbutter pie is delicious!!!Highly recommend the Wildflower Cafe!!”

We ordered taco combos (grilled chicken and marinated steak both with onions and peppers), chicken/cheese quesadilla, salsa and chips and the corn salsa, and passion fruit Jarritos. Large portions, expect leftovers. We would definitely eat there again and recommend Seabolt's if you like fresh food. We had just finished a hike to DeSoto Falls and this hit the spot. Lovely atmosphere outdoors in a plant nursery...gorgeous!”

At least i should get a complementary cookie or something for the delayed, the wrong order and the gas i spent coming back to get the Wright order. But nope nothing. The customer service it's declining, they should start training the managers better. I know is not the servers fault because it's a lot of teenagers, that need supervision.”
