This was one of the most inconsiderate customer service experiences I’ve had. I stopped at Waffle House to place a to-go order just minutes after having carpal tunnel surgery. My arm was in a cast, and I am required to keep it elevated to prevent swelling. I briefly sat at the bar only to prop my arm while waiting.
Despite clearly explaining my medical condition—and with the cast plainly visible—I was told I could not sit at the bar because of “company policy.” No effort was made to accommodate a temporary medical need, no empathy was shown, and no alternative was offered. I was essentially dismissed.
Policies should never override basic human decency. When a customer is visibly injured and medically restricted, the least that can be done is show compassion. Because of the staff’s rigid and uncaring response, I canceled my order and left.
I hope management reviews this situation and reminds employees that customer service includes empathy—not just enforcing rules without regard for people.

Such a great experience! Food was good and fast, customer service was really great. Everyone was super friendly and super funny. Will definitely be back especially if it has this shift together.
Decent Waffle House. Truck parking next door made it easy. The food was great. The young waiter was fairly distracted either conversation with some regular customers or playing the jukebox. A very nice waitress did a great job supplementing my table.

It's kinda hard to mess up waffle house, but leave it to the teenagers working last evening. They served their buddies who came in after us, first, couldn't get our meal right to save their lives, or even fill up the glasses of water that sat empty on the table. Maybe management should get some employees who WANT to work instead of hang out at a waffle house on Saturday night. Waffle house is what it is. Not a lot of expectations here, but when ya can't even get waffle house right... I can't help but make sure people avoid the ones with kids running the show.
