Make sure to Call before going here. Drove over an hour just to have them closed even though their hours show them open.

Don’t go to storefront. Great food, great folks, but storefront on 31 in Vestavia is closed to public. They’re moving locations and new Hoover location won’t be open to public either. Only catering orders.

Have had a good experience here in the past but today the employee was not friendly, didn’t even acknowledge that my 2 yr old was speaking to her and they appear to be out of many things including paper towels.

This is one of those places where u gotta come as soon as they open. Those people who complain about the dough should look up what Kolache means.

I gave it 2* because I did like the jalapeno popper, but Philly cheese is nothing more than ground up hamburger. I tried it just because it's something different. Not worth it. Not enough filling either, more bread than anything else. Save your money

I purchased the 'Merica, the sausage gravy, and a cream cheese kolache. All were fantastic, soft yeast rolls with great flavor from the filling. I would happily stop in for either breakfast or lunch.

I traveled about an hour and a half to visit this place. I was severely disappointed. When I walked in. It was clear that they were almost out of everything and it seemed that this may have been because I didn't get there early enough however, after being told they were out of coffee and napkins, it became clear to me that this place was just operating with a few items to sell. I did get my kolache which was supposed to be warmed up but it was cold. A few other patrons opened the door, looked inside then simply walked out. I was wondering if this place is in the process of going out of business?

First time visitor, I’m not sure what I received is worth the calories. Tough on the bottom, cold in the middle. I asked for 3 to be warmed up and it was done under the register, I believe in a microwave that made all 3 hot on the outside, but still cold in the middle. Operationally, it’s 8:00am, they shouldn’t be sitting out for hours getting too tough to chew.

Surprised my father and staff at work with their food. 1000% recommended. The food and delivery was excellent.

For the area this restaurant is in, the atmosphere, service and quality should be MUCH better. The lady behind the counter was not friendly at all and ignored us when we spoke , and the atmosphere is dark and cold. Most of the deserts were gone. The bread was dense and strange and microwave heated. I wouldn't visit again

Great customer services. The sloppy joes are the best. The only place you can get a delicious Kolache. I highly recommend trying them for a quick breakfast, lunch, or snack. Very reasonable prices.

American Kolache..........Good food and even better people.

The kolaches were underbaked, very doughy and dense at the bottom. The staff was rude and acted like they didn’t want to be there or do their simple job.If you want a good kolache go to Shipley’s Donuts.
