Visited for lunch. Discovered literally everything we intended to order either changed or had been removed from the menu:
Traditional Wings replaced by boneless
Seafood Dip - toast points replaced by generic tortilla chips
Jambalaya - no longer on the menu. (What cajun restaurant doesn't have Jambalaya)
Shrimp Creole - no longer on the menu

Guess they needed to make room for the tacos and burgers, which can be ordered at any restaurant, anywhere.

Been enjoying Cajun Steamer since they opened 15+ years ago, sadly this is probably the last visit.

Sad to say but, PoBoy Shrimp Blackened was sub par - tiny shrimp size - little seasonings.
Gumbo was minus crab, shrimp and okra.
Mostly Rue - served lukewarm.
Remoulade Sauce was not true to New Orleans Style. Fried Green tomatoes were mediocre. Know that restaurants are in serious trouble but, they should know what is being served by obviously cooks that are not truly chefs. These experiences are driving more and more people to just stay home and cook their food themselves. America is loosing this segment of our economy.

Bought the seafood boil with 2 crab leg clusters. These were the worst that I have ever seen. The crab legs were like they have been in the freezer for a long time where the meat dried up from freezer burn. $46 for the meal to go. It is usually like 1 cluster is like that but both of them were dried up. No wonder we hear that this restaurant is closing the location (Cahaba Heights) down. If there was a zero star, I would give that

Here from Arizona visiting family. Found this place by accident. We asked Jordan for recommendations and he did not disappoint on his suggestions. I had the Voodoo chicken and my husband had the RedFish Rockefeller. Both amazing dishes and beautifully presented. The Voodoo Chicken has a sweet tang/spice to it but it's not spicy. The fish is more savory and absolutely phenomenal. The fried okra was almost as good as my mama's. Do not miss out on this food!

Parking: Large lot for businesses in the area.

Wheelchair accessibility: Husband in a wheelchair. Parking spots are fine, sidewalks are accessible and doorways are perfectly adequate for WC access. Tables are accessible and bathrooms are accessible. Well done!

Everything about this place is a 10/10! The service should receive 10 STARs! From the gentleman at the front door to the waitress to any staff you walked past! I have a child who’s severely allergic to fish, I said it when I walked in and they did EVERYTHING to accommodate her! We will be back everytime we come to Birmingham!! The food was delicious!! Thank you for making our first experience nothing short of AMAZING!
