El Poblano Mexican Restaurant

Such a poor to-go order experience. Ordered a large queso and paid extra for salsas because they will only give 2 tiny ones (even though we ordered 6 adult entrees). Put one tiny bag of chips in the bag to go with the queso and salsas. Also, got our chicken and cheese quesadillas wrong. Only gave us cheese & had to drive back because my toddler was upset with no chicken and to ask for more chips. They opened them up and put a little chicken on them didn’t make new and said we can give you a few more chips. Such a bummer we order from here all the time & it’s not ok they keep doing this. Hope they see this and will give the appropriate amount of chips? It makes no sense? Unlimited in restaurant? And barely any for take out?

Please consider families who don’t want to bring screaming toddlers in your establishment but still like chips to easy their queso & salsa!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. It is a great experience if you eat at the restaurant. However if you order a to go order they give you chips and a small container of salsa with your meal. If you order Cheese Dip they do not include any additional chips. If you ask they say there are chips in the bag. So disappointing.

This is the best Mexican food place in Vestavia… In my opinion, I meet with my networking group every Tuesday night there and everything is good. They also have healthy options. You can order steak with avocado and pico by itself and it’s very affordable under $10 the atmosphere is good we usuallydine and meet in the back area by the bar. The owner and all the staff are wonderful and very attentive.

I come here all the time it’s I normally have GREAT experiences. From the food to service it’s normal 5stars.. but today I had the worst experience by far! My server waited until we were almost done with our cheese to take our order. Short server DIDNT ID ME and He brought me back a margarita that was full of syrup and SALT I sent it back and asked for a remake and he made an annoyed face. I would have rather him ID me and bring me a REAL Margarita rather then make me a disgusting drink because he thought I was underage. Brought back the same drink full of SALT I just asked for it to be removed from my ticket. Quesadilla came out and it was sitting in oil/grease so bread was extremely soggy.. Short round server did not check on us at all, we were finish eating and he passed us about 3-4 times said NOTHING. After 15 of being done eating we just walked to the front to pay and he screamed CHECK at me in front of everyone as if we were not paying. He came to the front to watch us pay and I asked for a manager. He walked away and FLIPPED ME OFF TWO TIMES. I also say the manager smiling when he went to the back to talk his crap. I informed the manager that I saw her smiling laughing and she told me I didn’t have to pay. No apologies nothing. They will be reported. I can’t believe as a repeat customer I was treated like this by this server.

As far as Mexican restaurants go, this is a really good one. The salsa is good, the food is good and comes out fast, and the service is good. I've eaten here many times, and it's never been anything but good.

I gotnl totally lost in the area becuase the roads are not very lit up. I pulled over and was looking for a place to eat. This place came up and I was extremely satisfied. Food was great and service time was quick. Prices were reasonable and parking was ample. I will return. I recommend the carne asada with corn tortillas.

Wasn't very busy when I stopped in on a whim but they were very quick to help me order & bring out my food. Super delicious. Highly recommend the chilli relleno, one of my favorite Hispanic dishes & they did it well. Reasonable prices for the food.

Our food was pretty good. The service was terrible. Our waiter seemed burdened by our presence. He certainly seemed more interested in being on his phone than being at work.
