I usually come to the Smoothie King in Vestavia and have never had an issue — until today. When I walked in, the front desk cashier had AirPods in and didn’t acknowledge me at all. I stood there for about five minutes before she finally took my order. After that, I waited another 10 minutes for my smoothie while she took another customer’s order, chatted with others, and even stood there drinking a smoothie in front of me. When I finally got mine, it was watery and disappointing. I wasn’t planning on leaving a review, but the lack of basic customer service and the long wait despite hardly anyone in the store really pushed me to speak up. I hope this was just an off day, but it was definitely not the experience I’ve come to expect here.

I’ve been a loyal Smoothie King customer since 2016, and I’ve always loved the products. Unfortunately, my recent visit to the location at 3056 Healthy Way, Suite 144, Vestavia, AL 35243 left me shocked and extremely disappointed.

An employee treated me very rudely and was needlessly combative when I tried to place my order. Despite my attempts to stay calm and de-escalate the situation, she continued raising her voice and provoking me. I even told her that her behavior was unprofessional and not reflective of good customer service. Instead of resolving the issue, she refused service and had me trespassed from the store — all without justification.

I was treated unfairly and believe I was racially profiled. This was hurtful, especially considering how long I’ve supported this brand. What’s worse is that the store’s management seemed to support this mistreatment without a proper investigation.

I hope Smoothie King’s corporate team takes this seriously. No paying customer deserves to be humiliated, dismissed, or treated with such disrespect. I’m sharing this publicly because accountability matters — and so does treating people with dignity.

I see that someone has responded to my post but I already smoke with a partner name Rod or something in that nature and his response was for me to take whatever legal issues I needed to pursue to handle this matter! I don’t know if this is him responding or someone else to make it look good but management did nothing to solve this issued they just handled me worse!

Insure Me

Absolutely disappointed in the quality of my Acai Bowl tonight. The employee struggle to make one bowl and a few crumbs of granola. I was the only customer in the store. Ive been using the location at Vestavia Hills. There was no one else in the store to speak with

Just visited this location and ordered a pineapple surf smoothie. Did not receive a friendly welcome from either worker. Server had no idea how much protein was in the smoothie, and she couldn’t be bothered to look up the info. Her reply when I asked was, “I have no idea.” It would have been nice to have that info so I could know I needed to add more.

No “thank you”, “have a nice evening”, etc. from either worker when I left.

Associate was too busy with her phone at the register too take my order, or even acknowledge I was even there. So I went to the restroom, came back and there was no one there. Waited another minute and she finally came out of the back to see if I was now ready to order? Was ready when I walked in but nonetheless, I ordered and received my smoothie. I hate it when I am made to feel bad just for coming in to purchase something.

This was the worst experience I have ever had here the most entitled i guess manager?? And might I add she has a horrible hairdo and makeup done very sloppily she acted like she knew everything and kept cutting me off even when i was just asking a question and then acted like she was doing me a favor by giving me a ice cup??! Horrible she has a awful personality every time I have come in and I am fed up I am definitely reporting her to corporate!!
