Came in for lunch during work expecting to wait awhile for my food but I had barely finished getting a drink when they called my name. Needless to say the food was great, the portions were more than fair for what I paid, and everyone behind the counter were the pictures of southern hospitality. I’ll drive 25 minutes to eat here for sure.

This is what an independent bbq joint is supposed to be. Minimal menu, great value, impeccable food. Owner usually on premises. It's busy, in fundamentally nowhere. Go. Nice dining area,self serve drink stand.
Their sausage and BBQ plate is my favorite. It's excellent. Lean meat with a great smoke taste. It's perfect in my opinion.

Banquet use to be chopped better. Baked beans and green beans use to be much better but now just dumped out of can and heated. Need to go back to older day!
