We had to travel to Wetumpka Alabama and we stopped at Hog Rock Bar-B-Q and we was so happy we stopped !! The food was amazing!! We ate the baked chicken and it was so tender it just melted on your tongue !! The pulled pork was so tender and seasoned to perfection!! I wanted to take some fired chicken with us because a customer sitting next to me ordered it and she stated it was awesome ?!!! So whenever we return to Wetumpka Hog Rock Bar-B-Q is going to be our first stop !!
Parking: There's plenty of parking, but because the food is so fantastic, the parking lot is busy !!! But customers come and go !!!!

Worst BBQ I have ever had. The meat is bad and no amount of sauce and pickles can hide it. The fries aren't even good. Good service and wait wasn't bad, but if you want good BBQ go somewhere else. Maepops and Brothers Bootleg in Tallassee are both good. Both of them have meat so good you don't want to put sauce on it.

If you don't feel like cooking, but still want a yummy homemade meal, this is the place to go! I'm in love with their meat and three options, and it has saved me on many busy week nights. Super affordable also, basically $11 for a meal, you still have leftovers, and a drink. Love the old country feel atmosphere also. Service has always been friendly. My favorite place in Wetumpka for delicious and affordable food.
Kid-friendliness: Always super friendly to my kids and accommodating. I get them a meat and 3 to share between the 3 of them and it is still PLENTY.
This is pretty good small town diner/bbq. The "chopped meat" is pork butt served with a good southern Alabama ketchup based sauce. However, the best thing on the menu may be the house special hamburger steak. It's really good and exactly what you want from a diner.
Vegetarian options: Not really. It's BBQ.
Kid-friendliness: It's a small town diner. Families are expected and the costs are reasonable.

I ordered a simple bbq sandwich with fries. While the fries were very good, the sandwich had a funny taste to it like maybe it had been oversmoked. I couldn't put my finger in it, but it wasn't good.
