Tried this gem on Saturday and I am so glad I did! The guy in the window was so nice and he interacted with my 3 year old! Ordered the spring rolls and pad Thai. It was fresh and delicious. Nice plump perfectly cooked shrimp! And the spring rolls were hot and crispy. I can’t wait until you fix the ice machine so I can get some Thai tea!!!

It’s just ok. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Sweet and Sour Shrimp. Both were lacking in flavor and had a vinegar taste, which is unusual for Pad Thai.

Rice Box is hands down the best Thai food place I have ever been to in the area and I’d bet in the state as well. Food is always consistent. Service is always great. Friendly staff. Always a “go to” for me and my fiancé. It’s become a staple restaurant for us!

I've been several times and ordered one of their noodle dishes. I enjoyed them all and was impressed by the freshness and quality of their vegetables and food in general. Based on those visits I'd have given them four or five stars across the board.
However, this time I ordered the green curry and one of the soups. They were terrible. The soup had too much chili oil, at least I'm assuming that's what the floating red oil was, and it made for a greasy mouth feel and overwhelmed any other flavor. It also lacked salt. I did ask for hot and the level of spice was perfect but there was too much oil.
The green curry was pale and lacked flavor and it was greasy. I've never had a greasy Thai curry. It was weird and left a film in my mouth. Honestly it tasted mostly of watered down coconut milk but greasy and unpleasant.
Perhaps it was just an off day, my previous experiences have always been good so I plan to try again. But next time I order, I’m getting a noodle dish as they have always been fantastic. The service was as quick and lovely as always, and I still like their location and looks.
Thank you for existing! We recently moved to the Thai food desert of Prattville and have been looking for something better than mediocre ever since. Very tired of "Thai" restaurants that Americanize all the amazing Thai flavors out of their food, so we are always on the hunt for something better. This place hit the spot!

New to Wetumpka, first experience with Rice Box Thai. It won't be my last! Excellent Pad Thai loaded with a large portion of white-meat chicken. Very good, very authentic! I ordered spice level 3 and it was just right, plenty spicy for me. Can't wait to try other items on the menu. Window service for take-out only. No inside seating. Call ahead, menu is online.
