Pretty good little restaurant in the older part of town. The spinach artichoke dip is excellent, but the pita chips were almost burnt. The blackened mahi was excellent

Cute place for lunch or dinner in downtown Wetumpka. Food and service are good; not necessarily anything to die over, but enjoyable and at a reasonable price point. This is a safe bet for a sit-down meal in the area! Definitely walkable from other locations in the downtown core which is a plus.

The experience was excellent as always. We had a lot of family in town for a funeral and chose to come to Coosa Cleaver afterwards. Everyone was super nice, fast service for accommodating 15+ at one time. Food was amazing as always. If you have not tried this little piece of heaven in Downtown Wetumpka you are missing out. Thanks again for awesome hospitality.

Gave this place a few attempts throughout the year. Never left feeling like “man we have to come back”.

We went again to this Monday as we found out coaches corner was closed.
Sat on the second floor at lunchtime, only a few other tables were being seated.

I ordered the cowboy burger, cooked to medium with cheddar cheese. The food came out 42 minutes later, wrong cheese, no condiments, cooked to well done and it was lukewarm at best. Didn’t have a crunchy fry on the plate. When our waiter Noah brought the food out, I asked if we could get the requested condiments when we originally placed our order. They never came lol I just went downstairs and grabbed them myself. Told me he was going to refill my sweet tea three different times and never did. I hate being confrontational, and I also didn’t say anything about my food. I knew it would be another 40+ minutes of waiting to get it corrected.

I want to like this place because it’s a local spot, but the attention to detail and service is significantly lacking the few times we’ve went for lunch throughout the year.

We visited Wetumpka on our way to Destin on a Sunday. Downtown was pretty much closed, and Coosa Cleaver was the only eaterie open. Pleasant surprise! We sat upstairs and served by the bartender. She was very friendly and helpful with the menu and specials.

The collard greens were delicious!! I had the fried green tomato BLT and it was delicious also. The other two people I was with each had 1 each of the two burgers on the menu. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. Thank you for the wonderful meal during our stop over in Wetumpka!

**Let me start with this was Just my story of our experience, I checked with my wife to ensure I was not exaggerating our experience and I’m not looking for anything in return** We have visited the Coosa Cleaver many times and had no problems. But today my wife and I took my kids for a birthday diner and something has changed. All seemed normal at first but a seemed to started to Spiral downward after having our drink order taken. My wife and daughter wait 10-15 min for their drinks until I was able to flag down the ( possibly the manager ) who I told about the drinks , she went back up made the drinks and refilled my son’s lemon aid . During that entire time span the waitress did not come back over to check on us even though it was not busy (however, to be fair I did not flag them down either) Our food arrived after about 30-50 minutes of sitting down , and while the appraiser was excellent, the two sandwiches that were also ordered did not look appetizing and were not eaten. Our waitress did come by and asked if we needed anything , unfortunately the timing of checking on us was off as we wanted to leave and I asked for the check . Our bill was 100$+ I did tip 20%+ But must say we will not be going back.
