This place used to be good, now I see they slop together plates and charge over the top. 50$ for 2 bbq pulled pork plates, asked for extra sauce(mini sauces and we get 32oz of sauce$15 ( which was included in the high price) ridiculous- way to take advantage of ppl. Fries hard as a rock but we waited 45 mins for it, 1cup of meat .. so very disappointed. I just am so upset how this has become a place.. that in my opinion is not good anymore.

Just out riding motorcycles aimlessly around Alabama. Come to a stop sign and what do we see? Promise Land BBQ. Just stop. Do it. We had BBQ sandwich and it was great. The beans and okra were fantastic too. You won't be disappointed.

This is a shack in the middle of nowhere, so the atmosphere was cloudy that day, hence the 3 stars. Had it been raining it would be less, and if the sun was shining I'd give it 5*. Anyway, hands down, WAY better than any BBQ joint I've ever eaten in Georgia. Bring cash or Cash App

Food was okay, but waited over an hour for it. The service was awful; I asked for some ranch and the lady slammed the sliding door in my face and i'm assuming the owner came after and only gave me 1 ranch for a order that fed 8 people.

Ordered a whole chicken for the night before the 4th of July. Some of the dark meat was decent but the breast were beyond dry. It seemed as if they had over cooked it and then reheated it for my order.
