DO NOT EAT HERE!! This was the WORST African food I’ve ever had in my life!! ILL NEVER EAT HERE
Again!!

We spent a $100 and waited about 40 minutes on bs!

He lied and said the fufu was pounded yam and it was instant fufu out the box! Literally tasted like mashed potatoes and this is coming from someone married to an African man!! So I know what pounded yam feels like and tastes like. Down to the texture!

Secondly he didn’t give me what I ordered, he gave me what he wanted me to have! I asked for beef Egusi soup and received turkey that was so salty I couldn’t even eat it!! Such a waste of money!!

If you want a box full of jollif rice, eat here because that’s what you’re paying for. Every entree had a tiny piece of fish but loads of rice! NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!

I ordered my food, let my family taste it and we immediately went back to order more. The egusi soup and fufu are delicious. The customer service is great as well. We will definitely be returning to this place.

My food was delicious, fresh with good portions. The wait time was a little long today but everything was fresh. They have a nice stock of herbs in powders and leaves.

I delivered from Uber eats from them this week. This place is a dream come true. They have SO many items I've never been able to get anywhere else. It was a delight to finally see some food without the same basic flavors

The service is terrible but the food is great. Kinda like a Waffle House. Typical wait is about 30-45 minutes which is long but the authenticity is there. The okra soup with fufu is my favorite!

Worst restaurant experience in LR: stay away!!! This place purports to be a restaurant. It is an actually a takeout gig/small grocery/clothing store. We were seated at a table and told the irritable employee we were dining in. It took over 40 minutes for the soft drink we ordered to be served. Many people were rung up with their takeout order while we waited. He eventually returned with our food in takeout containers, along with one napkin and plastic utensils for one person. I asked him why he had not brought us plates and utensils for all three of us, and he did not comprehend the question. It was not a language issue. The entrees were all bathed in palm oil (the most unhealthy cooking oil). All the food was inedible except for the plantains. Absolutely surreal experience. Deserves negative 5 stars.

Got the Oxtail stew joilof rice and fufu. When I say this food was soooooo nasty the Oxtails were very tough he said he didn't know i liked them soft (i didn't know it was any other way to cook them) and in a bowl of grease the rice was nasty and that was my first time tasting fufu it was nasty but I'm going to fry it. ..anyways you can't get a refund so straight to the trash goes my 25$

I called my order in at Kontiki at 1:40pm, was told it would be 30 mins. I get there at 2:30pm expecting my order to be ready, it was not even put in. If you plan on picking up any food from this restaurant, order 2 days in advance, the wait time is ridiculous. From calling my order in to having to wait inside was 1 hour and 30 minutes. The customer service could've been better. I will patronize another African restaurant, this one wasn't it. Do better Kontiki African Restaurant.
