Great Value Gluten Free Catfish
I’ve gone to this place many times but I had not gone back since I’ve cut back on gluten until a few days ago. The fried catfish is confirmed to be gluten free.
In the menu picture attached, any menu item in green font is gluten free. With fried catfish being the only fried item labeled as gluten free, I do wonder if the catfish is fried in their own fryers away from anything with gluten in it.
I got the 3 piece fillet meal and they gave me 4 fillets since they were small. The portions overall are very generous with unlimited fixins such as hush puppies, coleslaw, pickles, and green tomato relish. The catfish is excellent and the fries tasted homemade.
This is a great deal for the food you get. The food also comes out super fast, ideal for a quick lunch.

The staff was amazing! Going above and beyond to make sure guests had what they need and that drinks and fixins never ran low. So excited that their fried catfish is gluten free! Everything was good. The building is a bit of modern architecture and the place was very clean. A great place to stop for a good meal while traveling on I-40. Well stop in again on our next road trip.

We reserved the party room for an extended family Xmas gathering. There were around 24 people with us and they did an EXCELLENT job. I am kicking myself that I didn't get a chance to thank the waitress before we left. She was amazing. She kept our tickets separate even though we were all sitting in different places. The food was great and I have nothing but good things to say about the Catfish Hole!

Im a big fan of the Catfish hole in Fayetteville but this was my forst and last visit to the one in Alma. We went after a Razorback football game. The food arrived wrong and cold. Waitress wanted to argue about the order so we just said leave it. I asked for refill of my coffee FOUR TIMES from 2 different people and finally got a cup AFTER I was done. This place is too expensive to be this shoddy. I wont be back.

Our family has been coming here for years, and recently celebrated our grandparents 60th wedding anniversary here with several of their friends! The owner and staff were so helpful and kind helping us get the surprise party set up in the back room and serving the 25+ guests quickly and efficiently, and even let us use that room for free since we were fine with it being overflow space for other customers if needed (and it didn't end up being needed for anyone else). The food was great as usual, and our grandparents felt so loved and celebrated!
