Wow.
Subpar food, actually one of the most flavorless meal I’ve ever had including the salsa. The margarita was a nice touch but even it is just mostly sugar, very generic as everything here.
It’s clean but I definitely would not choose to eat here again.
Fast food with restaurant prices.

All I had was the artichoke spinach dip, and that was enough for me to spend my evening cuddling my toilet for dear life as it exits my body in various liquidy forms.

Zapata’s Mexican Restaurant in Alma is not just a dining destination; it’s a vibrant celebration of the rich culture and diversity that the Hispanic community—and all minority groups—bring to our town. In a time when these communities are often threatened, it’s more important than ever to support and uplift them. My husband proudly served in the Navy for 24 years to protect the values our country was founded upon—values that honor immigrants and acknowledge the history of our nation. Every visit to Zapata’s reminds me of the strength and resilience of these communities. The food is always delicious, and during my last visit, I had the chicken pablano dish, which was hands down the best I’ve ever had! The portion was so generous that it was three times what I could eat—a true testament to the hospitality and generosity of the restaurant. The staff at Zapata’s are not only courteous but also warm, genuine, and kind-hearted individuals who create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through the door. They deserve so much more recognition and support for the incredible work they do. Thank you, Zapata’s, for not only providing amazing food but for being a pillar of our community. Your presence enriches our lives, and I look forward to many more meals in this fantastic restaurant! Let’s continue to celebrate and support the diverse cultures that make our communities thrive!

The food was great, but the host kept staring at my wife from across the room every time she looked up, she felt uncomfortable. Then the host had the audacity to ask why my adopted daughter has curly hair and we don't. The food is good but they need to talk to their host because I am sure we are not the only customers who do not want to dine-in here any longer.
