Absolutely love this place! This was my first visit, we came up for a fishing tournament and got a to-go order. Food was amazing, the staff was super nice and the prices are very reasonable. Go eat at Gilleys!!!!

Based on recent reviews, Big Gilley's Smokehouse & Diner is a local restaurant serving good home cooking with very friendly service. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff, including a bubbly blonde waitress named Lacey, are always friendly and accommodating. Prices are reasonable and the menu is an open menu where customers see what they like and order.
The food is excellent and the cook is on point. Popular meals include the chicken fried steak (which was excellent), Philly cheesesteak with onion rings (where the whole onion didn't come out of the crust), phenomenal homemade coleslaw, fried fish and beans, and brisket filled bacon wrapped smoked jalapeño poppers. The salads are cute and nice, and everything is cooked to perfection. The onion rings are probably some of the best ever had. The restaurant serves breakfast all day. While mostly fried food, the food was good, though they were out of a lot of items on Halloween and homecoming. Customers drive from Texarkana to Ashdown to eat here, and many have visited multiple days in a row.
