Grew up in Northern IL and moved here 25ish years ago. I still miss Portillo’s. This is the best Italian beef that’s popped up down here since I’ve been here. Just make sure you ask for it wet! You won’t be sorry! Oh, and Go, Cubs!
Born and raised in Chicago, its a breath of fresh air that this is here. Pizza puff was really good, fries just how they have them at home, combo was killer (wish for more Au jus but personal preference), and Chicago dog was also 100% correct and delicious. Great spot with awesome workers. Definitely will be back many times .
