I love the old world feel and atmosphere. Feels like I am back in 1970-1980 middle Europe. Think National Lampoon's European Vacation. The food was pretty good. The Weiner schnitzel was good, the sides were just ok except the potatoes, they were good. I recommend getting it with the gravy as it made the meal. I tried the saut kraut soup for an appetizer, it was ok but good with the bread. But I have to state I am not a saut kraut fan. I liked the place, but for the price...
There's a wait, a long wait bc this is fine dining where people sit at a table for 2 hours there is limited seating and they are busy bc the food is fantastic. You will wait to be put on a list, wait in a waiting area or by the bar, and wait to be seated, but the food & experience are worth it! No music, no tvs, just good conversation & dinner. The soup is so good!!! I recommend the Shrimp St. Helen, Goulash, and sauerkraut soup! If you are a picky eater, then I suggest...
I have been coming here over 25 years for this authentic experience in food and lodging. We enjoyed the goulash Jager schnitzel bratwurst with mustard and sauerkraut soup tremendously. The German chocolate cake was absolutely fantastic along with the fast, prompt, friendly service and beautiful facility. I can’t wait to come back and bring some family soon.
