Solid ramen and karaage for the price, but not great overall.
A few notes: • Noodles were tangled and stuck together, making them a bit unenjoyable to eat. • The egg was well cooked, but lacking flavor. Maybe not marinated long enough? • Outer portion of chashu was flavorful and moist, but inner part was drier and not flavorful. • Karaage was basically just American fried chicken. Not flavorful and was not breaded in potato starch like karaage generally is.

I've been wanting to try Akira Ramen for months and I hadn't yet, so today when I was feeling a little under the weather at work I doordashed a bowl of the black garlic ramen, and let me tell you it may have cured me instantly. I've had a lot of pho in a lot of places, and good ramen here and there too, but this broth was unmatched. The pork was incredible as well. Also, the price??? Obviously with doordash taking their fees and tip it was more than if I had gone myself, but even the price of convenience was worth it for the flavor. I'll be coming back and trying the rest of the menu soon. Delicious!! Thank you!!

The food was great ... until I went to add the broth to my Ramen dinner and I was so shocked and sad to find a fruit fly trapped in the container. If it was on the outside of the container I wouldn't have minded but the fly was enclosed into the broth. It stopped me from eating the rest of my food which was fine up until that point. I just wish they were a little more diligent about keeping these things from happening and it makes me second guess coming back.

My husband and I got romen last night for the first time there. Hands down it was amazing. The price was perfect you get what you pay for. The first bit we took was out of this world. My husband got the miso and I got the curry . He loved the miso. I tried some of his the miso was good. And I don't like miso but that made me like it. It was not to salty but it was perfect. The curry romen I got was delicious. My mind felt like I was dreaming I never had something that tasted that good.

The food was soooooo good!! I got the Miso ramen with chicken and gyoza, it was so tasty and looked amazing! If you’ve ever driven by Akira but weren’t sure if you should try it, you 100% should!! Everything is SO reasonably priced as well, and great portions too!!

Akira Ramen is a food truck but has some of the best ramen I’ve ever had. The meat in the ramen could be better but the broth is incredible. I usually get the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen and I LOVE it.

Akira Ramen seriously serves some of the THE BEST authentic Japanese food in the entire NWA area. Especially when it comes to how deep and umami their ramen broth is. The black garlic tonkatsu, their chashu, and their egg is literal perfection. Everything from their appetizers, ramen, & rice bowls is top tier. I know y'all just opened Akira Hibachi & Sushi at an actual storefront, but if y'all opened a storefront for Akira Ramen, it would absolutely KILL 💯

I had the black garlic tonkotsu and the pork bun. My (Nigerian) husband demolished the karaage rice bowl and the tofu skins….. THE BEST JAPANESE FOOD, in my personal opinion, compared to a few other local Japanese spots. The service was friendly and I was surprised at how little we had to wait. Highly recommend!!!
