I ordered the combination low mein .
Worst low mein I have ever had. Hardly any noodles, filled with veggies and meat. Taste was awful. for 45$ for 2 low mein and 2 soups. The servings were not even big. Very disappointed ?

Went there during lunchtime, and it wasn't very busy. The quick and friendly service was great. I had the General Tso's chicken lunch special with fried rice, wonton soup, and an egg roll. The General Tso's chicken was good. I've been to other Asian restaurants and had the same dish where they allowed it to sit in the sauce too long, and it became soggy. It was not soggy at Formosa but delightfully crispy and just enough spice to please your taste buds.

I wasn't too sure about the place when I first got there, it was very empty and the lighting was a bit odd? (It was giving back rooms) but the service and the food were amazing! They have both authentic recipes and typical Chinese American recipes. The portions were very large and reasonably priced. However the highlight of the night was the taste. The hot and sour soup is very good, the best I've had and the Polynesian shrimp was very sweet and savory!

I got sesame chicken. It was inedible. It was so dried up, the chicken was strings and shards.

Let me start by saying I love this place. I think it’s probably the best in town, and it’s definitely the best Rangoon in town.

Sometimes, when you come during rush-hour the food quality will be off, like it was rushed out. That’s only once in a blue moon, so I don’t really care. Stinks when it happens but not a consistent issue

The most consistent issue I have with this place is with their soup. Specifically the egg drop soup.
The problem is: the stuff is great and I love it, but it regularly gets put in the plastic containers at too high of a temperature and the plastic bleeds into the soup.
This isn’t a sometimes issue, at this point, it happens more often than not.

Last time I threw out a whole 16 ounce container of soup because I could not eat it with how plasticky it tasted. This time I got a smaller container cause I still wanted it, but was skeptical and I opened it to a smell like pool chlorine and melted plastic.

Again, I love the taste of their food, but at this point, I don’t think the soup is actually safe to eat.

For context to be here, at least once a month, sometimes more. This has happened to some degree the past 5 times probably.

We had the kindest lady care for us. She kept our drinks filled, checked on us often, and was so nice and pleasant! The food was prepared quickly and was absolutely delicious. We look forward to our next date out at Formosa!

I’m originally from California and I think I’d found the best Chinese restaurant in NWA. Had the beef and veggie dish for lunch and they used the right pieces of beef that I’m used to eating back home. The hot and sour soup was dead on and makes me miss Cali. They also have authentic Chinese dishes if you looking for something different or originality.
