The food was very disappointing. Staff were friendly. The brisket was very dry and bland as can be. The ribs were ok. Way juicer than the brisket but lacked flavor. The toast was the best part of my plate. My son did like his chicken sandwich. Not like the Penguin Ed's I remember from years ago.

The barbecue was good, but not exceptional. A little dry for my taste. I had the sliced brisket and sausage. The staff was very helpful and kept our drinks topped. They seemed to be very busy for 2:30 in the afternoon, with a stead influx of customers dining in and carrying out. I'd go back to sample other dishes. My friends liked the BBQ chicken and side selections.

Recommend the brisket nachos! We added 2 oz of burnt ends. Fantastic!

Very disappointed.... Extremely skimpy on the meat and the brisket was very dry. The brisket baked potato was a joke. The chopped brisket sandwich was mainly bread. I won't be back. If you want good bbq go to Wrights or Red Door.

Stopped while driving through town because we liked the name. Very friendly staff, a cool vibe, and my wife described the brisket topped baked potato as life changing. I wouldnt recommend the Mac and cheese, but everything else we ordered got a 5 star rating.

I like this place for being consistent, the meat is good and the service is great, my only complaint is that I dont always know whats in something, an example is the Nachos, I asked for the brisket nachos and it came with a mountain of onions, had i known that I would have requested them off, they were still good but this is a common issue with several bbq places so I guess thats unfair. Overall a solid place

I've been to both Fayetteville locations and it's the same with both. The Brisket is somewhat dry and very salty but good with their BBQ sauce. Pulled pork is pretty good sauced down and their sides are very good. It's hard to beat their pricing for BBQ in the area so it's always an option if I'm not willing to be extorted by some of the other places.

Penguin Ed's was a nice surprise. We met up with some friends for dinner here. We had brisket sandwiches and they were delicious. They had a decent menu, but not a huge menu. They know what they do well and they stick to it. They have a decent seasonal beer selection as well as the usual domestic beers you see everywhere. I'll definitely be going back.

Good food for some BBQ cravings. Sometimes the BBQ nacho appetizer is a hit or miss with the meat portion, but not a huge deal and the entree makes up for it.
