I've been going to Penguin Ed's Barbecue for past 12 years and it's still the best BBQ restaurant in Fayetteville Arkansas and Northwest Arkansas. I had the two rib plate with BBQ beans 🫘 and coleslaw plus two slices of bread . These ribs were huge and fall off the bone fantastic, the beans and coleslaw is outstanding too. Folks, I've been to Memphis and the ribs here in my opinion better.
Our family ordered the pulled pork sandwich, rib combo, and kids chicken sandwich. Ribs were tough and hard to get apart, not fall off the bone like I’d have hoped. Pulled meats were ok, but chicken was dry and lacked flavor. Sides stole the show. Amazing green beans, Mac and cheese, baked beans, pasta salad, and potato salad. Sunday right after lunch rush so maybe that’s what affected the quality. Prices were decent. With drinks the three of us ate for around $50.
Food was good staff is kind of unfriendly and then when they started shoving the tip in my face for lack of service it pisses me off all the waitress did was take the food for the kitchen and throw it on my table so demanding a 15% temp for that it's not worth it sorry The originals a lot better PS the menu says they carry french fries but they don't carry french fries the potato wedges
