Driving through, we discovered this spot for lunch and it turned out to be a gem on this particular trip. Penguin Ed’s had a wide variety of bbq favorites and each of us enjoyed our meals. The Littles had their cheeseburgers, fries, and side salad, and they enjoyed them. Mrs. Flip Out had the Friday special of smoked meatloaf, green beans, and mashed potatoes. I got the Arkie without the peppers. The grilled onions and cheese made this really good. I was disappointed in the mac and cheese, it was ok. The rest of my table had brisket sandwiches and they said their meat was on the dry side. One person was disappointed in their pasta salad. Overall, the food good.
In town for a football game and wanted to try something different... good service, good food, and kinda a whole in the wall restaurant from the look outside but overall good experience and good food...
